  1. To be perfectly frank (sorry Nos), the DTS is my favorite Cadillac, next to the new CTS. The current STS is, somehow, just too bland and unexciting. The rear end has like zero style, it is way too technical. The DTS is commanding, elegant, romantic and authoritative, everything the senior Cadillac should be. I am all for this new, Euro flavoured Cadillac performance image, but there should always be room in the lineup for a car like the DTS. It always turns my head.
  2. I've always liked Subies, for their earnest funkiness. I'm glad the SAAB tribute grille has been nixed. I prefer the traditional Subaru persona, and the Tribeca just doesn't fit with the rest of the line, the Forester is more of what I want and expect a Subaru SUV to be. Too bad the Baja hasn't sold well, but it's no BRAT. I love the growl of the boxer engine. I am fearful that Toyota may suck the life out of this scrappy, little, yet endearing brand. I can't wait to see the new Impreza.
  3. Thanks, everyone. But I think I have a problem already. I may not be able to get it out of the garage. It's much taller than the Colorado. Two inches of the radio antenna hits the top of my garage door frame. When I put it in the garage, the garage door was in the process of gliding upward on its track... but with the door fully open, the bar to pull when the automatic opener doesn't work hangs down pretty far. It looks like it will hit the roof and smash out the 3rd brake light when I back past it. I really hope my perspective was off last night. I may need to call an emergency C&G meeting to get 8 or 10 of you guys to stand in the back of it to bring it down low enough so I can back it out. Now I have a real excuse for lowering the back end down some! :AH-HA_wink: Here's a list of (hopefully) tasteful mods I have in mind. Feedback appreciated: Rear end lowering, 2" drop Goodyear Fortera Triple Tred 265/70 17 tires. The 245s are a bit narrow, imo Dual exhaust with polished tips, side exit behind wheel (less redneck than straight out the back, imo) BedRug liner (I love those things) Hard tonneau cover, black, comes off in 3 sections so it's easy to remove if I need to Chrome tailgate handle cover to match the doors Body color, smooth tailgate topper Rear wheelwell blackout (which might help visually reduce the big wheel-to-body gap at the back)
  4. Psst... in your photo, there is someone crouched down, hiding behind your dad's Bonneville. Do you want I should call 911?
  5. Happy Birthday, peoples!

    *Sigh*

Whoa, that Neon's dead. Good that everyone's ok. Dumb girl, no seatbelt. I'd say a lot of the door damage is from the extrication.
  7. That is utterly disgusting. And I agree with Northstar... I seem to remember you posting something about a GTO a while back...
  8. Thanks bobo, I do too. I think it looks better on the 900s than it did on the 800s. And the GM Accessory chrome mirror covers and door handles set it off, imo.

    Taking a step

Well, I picked it up this morning, finally. Pictures posted in the Members' Rides section down below.
  10. hehe, yup Mr. Fly. I'm not entirely happy with the lighting in these pics, but when I went to pull forward a bit so the backend was more in the sunshine... boom, camera died.
  11. Thanks Northie, it's the 5.3L, AFM, 315 hp V8.
  12. Here's a picture of my spring setup:
  13. OK, here he is, my awesome new truck. I love it.
  14. What do you guys do if you can't sleep? Bleh, I am feeling a bit stressed out. Work was insane yesterday, busy. My least favourite insurance reinspector showed up at 12:50 (I leave for lunch at 1). My new truck awaits, and all that jazz surrounding that project, now with a buyer thrown in the mix. My friend Ryan (yes, I've told you about him) called me yesterday to let me know the crew was going to Chili's (!) for lunch instead of our regular place and our receptionist didn't give me the message (luckily he called my extension directly just as I was about to leave) (I love him so much) (Lunch at Chili's sucked. I don't think any of us enjoyed it.) I have a headache and all I ate for dinner was a cup of yogurt.

Aw, Vipes, you didn't do anything wrong. I hope your cousin and her friend are alright.
  16. Sixty4, I will certainly do that for you. I just have to remember to take my camera with me.
  17. I didn't know blind folks could legally drive.
  18. suicide
  19. Sounds like a great excuse for a road trip. I expect lots of photos of the odyssey.
  20. That reminds me... Mr. Jacket, I have a bone to pick with you. :AH-HA_wink:
  21. Sure balthy... I'll be picking it up tomorrow morning. As long as the weather is decent (it doesn't look encouraging), I'll be posting some pictures.
  22. Yeah, I was fine, even for a while in the lounge, then when I clicked on Word Association, I got the error... then I couldn't get into any thread in the lounge... until I refreshed, then I was fine again in all threads.
  23. I voted no, because to me a sports car should still be defined by two seats. I agree with Northie and Camino... it is a sporty, performance car.
