    BURGERS

GM1, that's not the one at the Annapolis Mall, is it?
  2. Thanks for posting a thread with more complete coverage of this article than my "Good or Bad?" thread here in the Olds section, BP. That ol' Aurora proved tough as nails, even at the end of her useful life.

Global warming. No but, seriously, I like the "sport truck" look of this bodystyle, and I think the G80 locker will get me where I need to go on the few days a year we actually have difficulty travelling in snow. I'm already checking out exhaust systems online. Now that I'm going back to a V8, I want loud pipes! A hard tonneau cover, smooth, flat, bodycolor tailgate topper and chrome handles and mirror caps are also a good possibility.

    BURGERS

Oldsmoboi, his friend Dominic, GMTruckguy74 and I ate at Red Robin after we left the Hershey car show. It was fairly good, I guess. For me, a restaurant burger must have a bun that can handle the meat. I cannot stand a burger that has so much junk on it that it squeezes out of the bun and plops on your plate.
  9. That last lineup was Olds' best in quite some time. They went out on a high product note, imo. Interesting that Saturn started out with Olds styling cues, and now Saturn is fast filling Oldsmobile's niche within the corporation, with the exception of a fullsize stunner like the Aurora. It seemed to me that the wholesale revamping, repositioning and renaming of the Olds lineup, (even though they were fine cars) put off too many traditional Olds buyers and didn't capture the new owners they needed to survive. I also think there is something to be said about the (proud, historic) very name "Oldsmobile" that the public at large just couldn't seem to attach to a desirable car in their modern mind's eye. Heck, Oldsmobile even seemed embarrassed by themselves, with the lack of any mention of the name on their cars for a couple of model years.
  10. I am hoping that, regardless of Cadillac's new stature, Pontiac becomes more of a "poor man's" BMW, a promise that GM needs to keep, imo, with an array of sweet, affordable RWD cars to wear the arrowhead.
  11. Yes sirs, I cleaned up my truck today too.
  12. Does your Aurora have an aluminum, structural oilpan? Did you suffer a catastrophic oil loss? Crappy news, Mr. Fly. Hopefully it will be taken care of quickly. I did the same thing to my '00 GTI, only I fell asleep and went up over a small island. That woke my ass up, and I was lucky enough to shut off the engine quickly, avoided blowing up my sweet little 1.8t.

    BURGERS

Uh, omg, please don't tell me that is a batch of fresh vomit on top of those french fries. Please... no!
  15. Speaking of Acadias, I was trolling the local BPG dealership (again!) today, and they have a silver, AWD SLT. I parked and got out to take a look. My salesguy came out and asked if I wanted to drive it. I said "can I?" like a little kid given permission to play with the siren in a 9C1 Caprice. All I can say is, every positive thing that has been said about the Lambdas and the way they drive has been well-deserved. This thing drives just great. The 3.6L is punchy, and the 6 speed auto shifts soo smoothly, thank God for GM's unmatched experience with automatic transmissions. Yay, Hydramatic! And the interior? Top notch. I mean, I dint go around poking my finger into every surface to see how squishy it was, but the design and function of everything is superb. Also, they just got in a new-style, regular cab longbed Sierra Work Truck. Proof that Regular Cabs exist and are being built... which makes me happy because I am anxiously awaiting my new one.

Satty, that toy Yoda is sooo going on the dashboard of my new truck. K.C., it's gonna be an SLE1 regular cab shortbed 2WD in Stealth Gray with Ebony interior, 5.3L, G80 locking rear end, and Preferred Package.
  17. A new FWD sedan from Cadillac would be contrary to their mission. Mercedes and BMW don't fool around with FWD.

    Pictures!

You seriously didn't think that was a good one?
  21. So it's a 3.4L? Was that car impounded? :AH-HA_wink:
  22. The airdam reminds me of a truck version of the Sky. This is obviously an imcomplete visual package, possibly for testing the cooling system with the different bumper. I'm looking forward to seeing the complete, production vehicle. EDIT: duh, I dint read the second part of the title of this thread, now I feel like Captain Obvious.
