Well, I heard from two of the four dealerships I contacted so far, both thanking me for my interest in the 2007 Sierra crewcab. Even though I checked the box requesting only email correspondence, both places called my house and left messages in addition to the emails. I wrote back to both clarifying what I'm looking for. Hopefully now, everything will gel.

Government regulations killed goodlooking, fast cars for a while because the automakers didn't know of any other way to meet fuel economy and emissions standards other than to choke off their engines and downsize all the style out while trying to maintain passenger room. Nowadays, the technology is there to meet the government requirements, hence the hopeful signs for a styling renaissance.

Chrysler's LX cars made a promise they haven't kept with subsequent designs, for the most part. Ford is hopelessly bland with their cars, save the Mustang. I've seen studies that show that using a cell phone while driving is as dangerous as driving while drunk. I've written estimates for people who were hit by cell phone talkers.

What are those fenders made of? Leather is a wild guess.

This afternoon I saw a young Latina, face made up like a Barbie doll, hair perfectly done, with a cell phone stuck to the side of her face as she drove her broken down, clearcoat-peeling, red Dodge Shadow. When I see people on the cell phone while driving it gives me road rage. Hang up and drive, people! :AH-HA_wink:

At my old job, word is that a certain secretary who chased me for a while gave a couple of guys bj's at one of the company Xmas parties, which took place at a conference hall resort here in town. At my new job, no party, but we're each getting our choice of a turkey or ham dinner basket to take home. I chose the ham, it's 10 pounds I think.

I factory ordered my Colorado with a split bench even though I'm the only one in the truck most of the time. With the stickshift, I'd have to be plenty friendly with the center passenger if the need arose. It has a center armrest with storage. If I end up with this new Sierra, I'll be glad to have a bench seat with fold-down center storage/armrest. With a fullsize car, I think it is a shame split bench seats aren't more readily available. The local Buick dealership usually keeps 2 or 3 Lucernes with benches. Dash knobs have been crash-safe for decades, but I do understand that with the lack of a front center shoulder belt, and no airbag directly in front of the center passenger, that there might be concern.

Well, I only pay $26/month for my old faithful land line. How much is the cheapest cell plan these days? I don't even know. My dad and his wife are on a plan where their minutes roll over, they routinely have like 4500 minutes available because they just don't use the phone that often. on the tickly beard.
