    Yikes!

Early one Saturday morning, Vipes emerges from sleep and looks out the window and is immediately perplexed by the sight of his Millenia, his mom's Sunfire, and his grandma's Cobalt, all parked side by side, really close together. Squinting in the early morning fog, he barely makes out a ramp, and, further out in the fog, the approaching headlights of his brother's Sierra, barreling toward the ramp that is set up next to the row of cars.... NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vipes screams, as he runs down the steps two at a time and out the front door. But he's too late. The Sierra clears the Sunfire and Cobalt, no problem, but the truck's tires dive into the Millenia's roof, flattening it. The truck bounces to a halt, and Vipes' bro jumps down out of the lifted GMC, grinning ear to ear. Vipes is not amused, and starts to run toward his brother. That's when Vipes realizes he's still naked from sleeping. He dives behind a tree, but peeks out sideways and starts cussing out his brother, who, for some reason, ignores him. Then his brother starts yelling toward the house... "Mom! Viper's naked in the yard again!" 5 minutes later, Vipes' mom sleepily opens the front door, and, in a routine she's used to, goes to the tree with a towel to wrap Viper in. Groggily ignoring the damage to Vipes' Mazda and his loud protests, she wraps the towel around him and drags him back in the house. Just as the door closes behind them, Viper hears his brother's truck starting up for another go at the ramp.

    Is It Wrong. . .

What's so funny about the Nepalese flag?
  3. Oh, I see karma in spades, but what does all this have to do with being a duck?

  6. Yeah, Camino... it is a shame that the site will not be effective due to the caliber of posters.
  7. Well, I stopped by my former employer's backlot today, and they have 4 SX4s just in, still wrapped, base models with automatic. White, red, orange and black. They're funky little creatures. I like 'em, they look like they'd be fun, capable and roomy enough.
  8. I tried to reply to the Lambda minivan poll thread and couldn't. Is that normal? I voted in the poll from the front page, then linked into the thread. Not sure if my vote took or not.
  9. Yeah, I posted a thread about this here in the lounge a few days ago. NASCAR has lost touch with reality. But we knew that, years ago.

  11. I just realized... this is the 13 hour anniversary of my last need for TP.
  12. Did you shoot back... "Sure, wanna join me in that dark, small closet?"
  13. I don't quite understand the title of this thread. I see no feathers, bill, or webbed feet on anyone in the video.
  14. Spiro Gingivitus (ancient Greek inventor of the dentist's drill) (I'm sure you've heard of him.)
  15. So... you meant a personal-use land vehicle. Trains and ships don't count here.
  16. Scratch what? Ew.
  17. *Sniff* (tear runs down cheek) Our little caterpillar has turned into a butterfly. (Ugh... that was way too homo seck shul.)

  22. Subaru built their entire US business on small, 4 cylinder AWD cars, wagons, and BRATS. Suzuki-built Trackers, Metros and Sprints were reliable vehicles. not until Daewoo was shoved down Suzuki's throat did they have reliability problems. The head of Suzuki publicly made his displeasure known when Forenzas, Renos and Veronas dragged his company's reputation through the mud. I admit I have not read the review yet at the top of this thread, but SX4 is related to the latest Swift, a car that played to excellent reviews in the European press, and we all know how patriotic they are, if it ain't homegrown, they usually don't like it. The SX4 has a good chance to sell to people who have aspired to an SUV but couldn't afford it, or to people who want to downsize from a behemoth. It seems like a nice blend of attributes to me at an unbeatable price. Of course, this is all my opinion. I haven't seen an SX4 in person, but I have to say I am intrigued by the concept.
  23. I still feel more than confident with my RWD pickup truck, thanks. Driving isn't just "plug-n-play", you have to be alert and know what your limitations are... F or RWD.
