  1. Walls only work where people cross over on foot, Einstein. You are not going to change my mind, and I am not going to change yours. This is why politics cannot be discussed in a gentlemanly way. #truthbomb
  2. Sigh... riiiight... Trump ruined Mexico 100 years ago. With tariffs. We don't need a border wall anywhere else except at our border with Mexico. So, we're good.
  3. Volkswagen has the same problem. U.S. superfans want VW to sell their Euro models here, all of them, without modification... but would that translate into sales beyond those "superfans"? There is an argument to be made about carmakers staying true to spirit and letting that truth find a customer base, however limited. The infamous, dumbed down Pennsylvania Rabbits come to mind, and since then, VW has sort of lost its mojo... by trying to Americanize itself. Quite the conundrum, imo. That Volvo does look like a Kaiser, it is appealing in an American sort of way... but is it a VOLVO that stays true?
  4. I also said the Mexican government needs to step it up. A third world country directly adjacent to the best country on the planet just does not work. This is why we need border walls. Canada is not third world, so that is why we don't need a northern border wall. They have plenty of moose though, I suspect, and Trudeau wants to apologize to everyone and let anyone in, so there is that... hmmm... please, let me STOP, it is like the damn Chinese buffet, I love it when I am going up there time after time, but it gets to a point of regret, and then a promise to myself never to go back...
  5. God I hate talking politics. Yes I will grant Drew the OP does involve cars, but look at this mess. You guys know I do love to spark conversation in EV threads, but when it comes to politics, I'd just as soon not speak. I was dragged in, and I should not have let it happen.
  6. I do agree wholeheartedly with Ninety-Eight's post!
  7. Yes but many times over the years, GM purposely made Chevrolet look like a "junior Cadillac"... 1971:
  8. Cadillac V-Series: Feeling cute, might come back and tear you a new ass later, IDK
  9. Is this going to keep going after his re-election? Because there is no one on the horizon who can touch him in 2020. Try to find some common ground. Wish for congress to work for us, and not this obsession with Trump. This obsession is damaging our country, and probably more important to the Dems, it is damaging their chances. He is always two steps ahead, from the very start of his campaign.
  10. They should have it hinged like a glovebox since it is similar in capacity.
  11. You've never heard me say I am against the car companies building vehicles in Mexico. If Mexicans are employed, maybe they won't want to spill over. But the Mexican government is weak, and conditions there are poor for too many Mexicans. The Mexican government needs to step it up. That's the Dems' modus operandi
  12. Maybe you can "put the make" on her?
  13. Don't you get it, Canadian? We don't need somebody else's crap. We spend too much money on other people's crap.
  14. It takes a while to get these things out, you don't even know, bruh. Early CT4 prototype, next to a senior model. Too bad the convertible proposal was dropped @ the last minute:
  15. What is Mexico doing at its southern border? What is Central America doing to BETTER the lives of its citizens? This is where the issues start. The tariffs are a byproduct of decades of poor conditions in poorly run $h!hole countries. Too many of you guys don't want to put the blame where it belongs.
  16. Shoot I read somewhere that the CT4-V was supposed to be 200 lbs lighter than the ATS-V. Of course, the new one doesn't have a twin-turbocharged V6. But then it is apples and oranges, since there is a higher performance V ++ coming.
  17. A traditional color of royalty
  18. OK, I'll play your game. '56 Continental Mark II in perfect shape, black with tan roof, parked in a driveway... in a light rain weather situation. In other news, we've had a couple Benz GLA 250s traded in the last few weeks where I work. We sell Hyundai and Mazda at my location.
  19. My Jeepiat center armrest has turnt creaky. Peeves me. If I wanted a Mercedes, I would have leased one.
  20. I am with Paulie, I cannot grasp the mixed vertical and horizontal taillight theme on these new Cadillacs. It is vertical or nothing. However, am I the only one in here who actually likes the CT4-V? Yes the single tone interior is too somber... and it looks like the ATS with a mid-cycle refresh... but I like it more than the CT5.
  21. That '84 is sharp as a tack! Very nice, and thanks for posting!
  22. Dwight was right... the 2.7L 4 is versatile. That CT4-V is a jewel. Cannot wait to see the green color mentioned.
  23. Balthy stole my line. Love it when the truth is told. Further proof that "The Leaper" will meet The Reaper sooner rather than later, with an attitude like that.
