  1. Victory red is the non-metallic red that's on the Silverado, Colorado, and, I think... Cobalt.
  2. The LS still has the old grille and bumpers though. The LT and LTZ have the new grille and bumpers. I am digging that Silver Blue color.
  3. Wow, that's a cool little buggy. I'd consider one... I love the color, the rims, everything. It's tasteful, imo.
  4. O.C., I bought my Colorado in January of '04, so it's an early one. My problems have been minor, and my fuel mileage is averaging 4 mpg better than the old 4.3 in my last S-10, a '98 ZR2. This Colorado is better made than any of the 5 S-10s I've owned, all brand new. I don't agree with your assessment of the 3.5L I-5. It seems to me the market agrees with me. The trucks are selling well, last I've seen.
  5. Now I know for sure that Balthy's sig is a '59. Out of the two, I really like the '60 Pontiac much better... very clean and cool.
  6. It must have been cold when that pic was taken, take a look at that nip on the front.
  7. There's nothing better than being able to go nekkit whenever you want in the sunshine. Can't do that at a home in town. I miss that.
  8. How can I say this without sounding mean. You're too damn young to remember when Pontiacs looked good. There ya go. I had to say it. The new G6 is a return to design purity that once made Pontiac great, you know, when they were the third best selling brand in the USA? The only really goodlooking Pontiacs in your lifetime, imo, have been the '97 GP and the '00 base model Bonneville. Nice, clean designs that still managed to fully communicate what a Pontiac should be (except maybe for the FWD chassis, but that's not Pontiac's fault.)
  9. Putting a V8 in these pickups would be counterproductive and would make them redundant... you'd have the price, power and gas mileage of a Silverado... without the room. Stupid. Upgrading the interior is fine with me, maybe even slapping a turbo on the I-5, but the whole point of having a smaller truck is to improve operating efficiency over a full-size. Anyone who dismisses the I-5 for the sole reason of cylinder count hasn't driven the truck.
  10. Agreed. The midsize GM trucks are right on the money for size and they have the right powertrain for these uncertain times concerning gas prices. A diesel engine option and more differentiation between Chevy and GMC would only increase their appeal. Other "small" trucks have gotten too big, and like I've said before... what's the point of having trucks in two sizes if there isn't enough of a noticeable difference?
  11. They say doggies tend to look like their owners... so Vipes, are you a little bit slobbery with white socks? :)

    Alcohol

I don't like to drink, really. I may have one glass of wine while eating out. I may stop at a bar on rare occasions and have one mixed drink. It's too expensive and it makes me feel crappy if I do it in excess, so why punish myself?
  13. Goodlooking car, Vipes. Yes, I think I do see an evil glint in the blue Aveo's eyes, I mean headlights.... :o
  14. This is gonna be awesome! Congratulations, Josh!
  15. Well, I moved from a town of 13k people, that was smack in the middle between Ocean City and Rehoboth Beach and Annapolis/Baltimore/Washington, about an hour from either... back to the town of my birth, which is like 100k people with sprawling suburbs. I've been back since January, '03... and I have to say I miss where I was. The traffic and roads up here are horrible. <_<
  16. I am going to guess it isn't anything we don't already know about... perhaps the Solstice GXP or hardtop.
  17. Aw man, the whole thing looks like a lot of fun though. It's a shame you were out so soon. Better luck next year, right? Or are there more races yet this season?

    Please help!

Well, my brakes were checked today. They're fine, maybe there was a stone or something caught in a caliper. They have 80% wear left. I can't think of any other vehicle right now I'd really rather have. So... it's staying put for the time being. When's those GMT 900 pickups coming? :AH-HA_wink:
  19. The instrument cluster hood looks like the double-breasted Pontiac Grand Am, the rest looks like new age GM.
  20. I prefer thin, hand tossed crust, with extra cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms, and it should come from a little pizza shop that makes its own crust... however, I love CPK's chicken tandoori (sp?) pizza with the side of chutney. Here at home, I make pizzas on flour tortillas... brush both sides of a tortilla with extra virgin olive oil, stack two together, then put on whatever your heart desires... pop it in the oven at 425 until it's nice and brown... YUM, you've got yourself a tasty little snack pizza... make two for a meal!

Hey mute, I hope you feel better soon. You know, they say more than a mouthful is a waste.

    Happy Halloween

Looks very cool, AAS. You should make a hundred of them and put them on Toyota's front step at their California headquarters, along with some flaming bags of dog poop.
  23. Only if we can do it in January. :o :AH-HA_wink: Of course you're invited, Vipes. Anyone who wants to come is invited. The Philadelphia Auto Show.
  24. How is granny liking her Cobalt so far, Vipes?
  25. Sounds cool man. Philly's about an hour, hour and a half away from me. What do you think about meeting up for the Philly Auto Show? It's January or February, I'll have to check the dates.
