  1. Oh jeez, I was still a lurker then. :)
  2. One exhaust I did not like (and I really wanted to) was the last-gen V8 F-bodies. Waaay too much flatulence and popping when letting off the throttle. Come to think of it, my truck "farts" when letting off between first and second gear. I don't like that.
  3. I think the G6 GTP coupe is awesome with the polished wheels. Make mine Emerald Green with a 6 speed!
  4. Fight Club was soo damn homoerotic. I'd like to see that again, as well as the earlier Crash.

    w00t!

I actually had a dude at work admit to me he has a vibrator. :o
  6. It's a shame the 360s couldn't have a new interior for '06. That truck is badass.
  7. The taillights, rear fascia, and badging are different for '06. I like it, actually. The lamps no longer use a clear lens, they have a red lens. The bumper is smooth, has fewer contours, and of course the badging is of a different font. If it has to have a spoiler, I prefer the flat style that's now standard on base cars, as opposed to the incongruous stand-up NASCAR style one. The new front end looks racy to me, and it is subtly (sp?) different than the Impala.
  8. While gas mileage is important because we use so much of it... other factors come into play with an Aveo... the smaller engine holds less oil... the tires are small, therefore cheap... it's a handy size, etc. The whole car is less consumptive over its lifetime. We have an orange hatchback in right now for a rear bumper replacement. The guy says his wife bought it to go to work in... her other car is a Trailblazer. He said he's impressed with the Aveo's comfort and overall decency. He's happy with it. I drove it around the building to check it in for repair. It's a neat little thing, and I do mean little... but I gotta be honest with you. It would be enough vehicle for me about 85% of the time.
  9. Was it the one with the Lincoln convertible? That movie was awesomely twisted. That one sex scene blew me away.
  10. Since it's "sort of" a truck, why not call it "Redneck Riviera"? The topline version would be "Redneck Riviera Reserve."
  11. Welcome back, Lord Stafford. I was asking about you the other day.
  12. Happy Birthday, Ven and mute! :)
  13. Nice slogan: "We are happy. It's not logic."
  14. Very general, yet razor-sharp, Enzora. I agree. Size classes are getting more and more fragmented. We could fall back on EPA size classifications whereby the interior space in square footage dictates size class.
  15. Delorean! I was shocked. It was like going back to the future. And a '79 Malibu sedan in great shape in that pukie pale green/medium pea green metallic two-tone paint scheme that seemingly took over GM that year.
  16. aww... little Sofia's got two Daddies! :o
  17. I understand Mr. Coleman refuses to get rid of his '84 Ciera because the a/c vent below the steering column keeps his face cool and none of the new cars have that.

    FUNNY LINK

hehehehehehehehehe.... OMG... sounds like a pretty cool dad! But ew, none of the dads of any of the girls I dated would have been allowed to help me out like that. The dude's hair is extremely "early 80's", looks like a dickhead!
  19. Excellent news, sir. Can't wait to see and hear about the car. Pics please!

    FUNNY LINK

I can't figure out how to view it. It keeps telling me I've performed an illegal operation and Navigator has to shut.
  22. BMW has auto-down on all four door windows. We should match that.

    Odd pairings

Last night as I was sitting alone and pitiful, enjoying my dinner at a local spot, in walks a pair of folks that made me stare a bit: a little, gray haired with glasses skinflint, 5'2" white dude in his late 50's, with a 5'10" black girl in her 30's, with a Supremes hairdo. Made the rest of the room look boring. Does anyone else enjoy the sport of "people watching"?
  24. What does age have to do with good taste? I was an Oasis fan. I saw them in concert. But they compare to The Beatles in their own minds, nowhere else. I liked you before you left here months ago, but I have to tell you, since your return, you've been acting like a little bitch. Why is that? Are you still mad about the Josh thing? A lot of your posts have a tendency to kill the vibe here because all you want to do is hold on to "the fight".
  25. Excellent thread, and tmp's response is one of the most perfect I've seen here. This is why I love this place. Side note: Yesterday I was on a test ride with a lady in her X5 3.0i. We were returning it to her after nearly $15k worth of collision repairs. She had been using her daughter's RX300 (which her mother gave her when she got the BMW.) Anyway, she was saying how much better the BMW was over the Lexus in the areas of solidity, ride, steering feel, etc. Then she said "...and the Lexus is really hard on gas. It's an 8 cylinder, and it really eats the gas." I was like  but I kept my mouth shut. I was going to crack her fantasy, but... the customer's always right!
