  1. OMG, it has a Pennsylvania license plate. That's it, I'm moving!
  2. The GXP is the best looking last-gen Bonneville, you're right about that. (I was referring to the first year of the design to pinpoint it). Too late to save her though, unfortunately. Yes, the single exhaust is kind of weenie on the base model car, but I like the fascias and lack of overwrought side strakes on the base car... and I like the spoilerless decklid too, although the flat, factory spoiler was tasteful and complimentary. My local dealer has two leftover Bonneville GXPs, white diamond and dark blue, that he rotates to the front lawn of the showroom, in hopes of finding buyers... sad.
  3. It's worth the trouble, don'tcha think, Fly? The first-gen Aurora is a great car, as you know. Croc, you are such a dickhead. As if you didn't know.
  4. That'd be awesome to see the next gen GTO and large sedan. I hope I'm wrong about the "production Pontiac" being just an extension of something we've already seen.
  5. One thing for sure, he won't be gettin' any chicks in a stupid Camry. That AM boss needs to have his head examined... pay the fee already, doofus!
  6. Cananopie, the '58 Buick Limited in your sig is awesome. I like your use of color, too. The pale yellow contrasts nicely with the blue car. I perused the Lucerne website last night, and I have to say the car is a knockout... Glacier Blue CXS with Ebony leather... or, oooo... Ming Blue with Tuxedo (blue over natural) leather interior and chrome wheels, WOW. While I haven't seen one yet, the car seems pretty big in photos. It's elegant, yet athletic, and it carries a brand name that comes with infinitely more soul than any Asian brand could ever hope for.
  7. Yup, congratulations, Nos. Good going, sir!
  8. WICKED! I hope this experience opened up new doors for at least one cab driver. Hope this finds you smiling, Sly. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. God, I wish there were something I could do or say to help, Sly. I hope you know there are people here who are hanging with you. You gotta keep on plugging away for Sofia. She loves her daddy.
  10. It was kind of the same for Chevrolet around that time. The '58 started with the iconic Chevy taillight theme, the '59 went with cat-eyes, then the '60 jumped back into line. I'd say the '59 Pontiac started the modern era of Pontiac design, the '60 backed off, then the '61 took it back up... and they still have a variation on the same theme in 2006... nothing to be ashamed of, imo. I just wish Chevy still believed in four or six element tailights on more than just Cobalt coupe and Corvette.
  11. If Pontiac goes back to tacky design it will be a grave mistake. They'll be laughed out of existence. Yes, the Solstice is design purity, I forgot to mention it. I stand by what I said about the G6. BV, I've owned twice as many Pontiacs as you have... HA! :AH-HA_wink: I've owned 2. I love these new, cleaner Pontiacs and hope they continue on the path they're on... CLEAN IS GOOD.
  12. Victory red is the non-metallic red that's on the Silverado, Colorado, and, I think... Cobalt.
  13. The LS still has the old grille and bumpers though. The LT and LTZ have the new grille and bumpers. I am digging that Silver Blue color.
  14. Wow, that's a cool little buggy. I'd consider one... I love the color, the rims, everything. It's tasteful, imo.
  15. O.C., I bought my Colorado in January of '04, so it's an early one. My problems have been minor, and my fuel mileage is averaging 4 mpg better than the old 4.3 in my last S-10, a '98 ZR2. This Colorado is better made than any of the 5 S-10s I've owned, all brand new. I don't agree with your assessment of the 3.5L I-5. It seems to me the market agrees with me. The trucks are selling well, last I've seen.
  16. Now I know for sure that Balthy's sig is a '59. Out of the two, I really like the '60 Pontiac much better... very clean and cool.
  17. It must have been cold when that pic was taken, take a look at that nip on the front.
  18. There's nothing better than being able to go nekkit whenever you want in the sunshine. Can't do that at a home in town. I miss that.
  19. How can I say this without sounding mean. You're too damn young to remember when Pontiacs looked good. There ya go. I had to say it. The new G6 is a return to design purity that once made Pontiac great, you know, when they were the third best selling brand in the USA? The only really goodlooking Pontiacs in your lifetime, imo, have been the '97 GP and the '00 base model Bonneville. Nice, clean designs that still managed to fully communicate what a Pontiac should be (except maybe for the FWD chassis, but that's not Pontiac's fault.)
  20. Putting a V8 in these pickups would be counterproductive and would make them redundant... you'd have the price, power and gas mileage of a Silverado... without the room. Stupid. Upgrading the interior is fine with me, maybe even slapping a turbo on the I-5, but the whole point of having a smaller truck is to improve operating efficiency over a full-size. Anyone who dismisses the I-5 for the sole reason of cylinder count hasn't driven the truck.
  21. Agreed. The midsize GM trucks are right on the money for size and they have the right powertrain for these uncertain times concerning gas prices. A diesel engine option and more differentiation between Chevy and GMC would only increase their appeal. Other "small" trucks have gotten too big, and like I've said before... what's the point of having trucks in two sizes if there isn't enough of a noticeable difference?
  22. They say doggies tend to look like their owners... so Vipes, are you a little bit slobbery with white socks? :)

    Alcohol

I don't like to drink, really. I may have one glass of wine while eating out. I may stop at a bar on rare occasions and have one mixed drink. It's too expensive and it makes me feel crappy if I do it in excess, so why punish myself?
  24. Goodlooking car, Vipes. Yes, I think I do see an evil glint in the blue Aveo's eyes, I mean headlights.... :o
  25. This is gonna be awesome! Congratulations, Josh!
