  1. PRE-FWD disaster, they were also known as X-bodies. Nova, Ventura/Phoenix, Omega, Apollo/Skylark RWD were designated X-Body.
  2. OK your point is taken. We will see if this pricing strategy makes the Envision suddenly appear on customer radar despite its hypocritical manufacturing point and its entirely boring design. They did the same thing with the South Korea made Encore (South Korea being a bit less scary than China). Did Encore sales discernibly uptick at the moment the prices were dropped, or have they been on a steady uptick that cannot be attributed to a price drop?
  3. ? "Where we are today" with WHAT, exactly? What sort of tangent is this? Your opinions should be taken out of the debate on all things electric, CAFE and whatnot. You drive a SUBURBAN, an ESCALADE and a TRAILBLAZER SS. And none of them are even PAINTED green. You love to talk the talk but you don't walk the walk. You amuse me with your constant prattle about electric this and alternative that, yet you appear in no way committed to your so-called "noble cause". Come in and speak on green car subjects WHEN YOU OWN ONE if you are going to be boning on them ad nauseam.
  4. Well then, Obama's team should have "leveraged" GM to kill Buick and let Pontiac live.
  5. How is it "advancing" if it is contrary to the will of the customer? I don't see it as an advancement, I see it as an imposition and the customer is speaking loudly with his wallet... he's been driven out of the car market because of CAFE and he is buying pickup trucks and large SUVs at a fast clip while "green" cars rot. You can lead a horse to Kool-Aid, but you cannot make him drink.
  6. Is it really a rollback though? If the standards were stupid to begin with, isn't it really a breath of fresh air? A return to basic reality and respect for basic laws of physics?
  7. That is a goodlooking vehicle sir!
  8. The Obama standards are pie-in-the-sky for so many reasons. You cannot FORCE people to buy something they DO.NOT.WANT. When has it ever worked? It never has. Something's got to give and it is past due for government to LISTEN and TUNE INTO the real world. California needs to be dealt with. It is that simple. They are so backward from the mainstream and they are out of touch with reality. CLEARLY. On so many issues extending far beyond just this important, vast thing. Brown and Becerra's comments quoted in the article speak volumes about their insolence and only serve to reinforce my stance... they need to STFU and SIT DOWN. Bunch of spoiled babies.
  9. GM is getting what it deserves. Build it here, you morons. The only thing "idiotic" is the idea that a Buick should be built anywhere else but the USA. Or at least North America... at the VERY LEAST. Yes, the Buick Envision is a completely invisible product with no design flair, nothing at all special to distinguish it as a Buick... it is a cheap Chinese knock-off of a "Buick" and I said that from the moment I saw it. Also I GUARANTEE you that between its forgettable design and execution, PLUS the fact it is widely known to be an "All-American" Buick made in CHINA are YUGE reasons why it is not selling well. Duh.
  10. This clearly illuminates my point. Astonishing.
  11. Your hope has been acknowledged. Watch for a change soon. Wait for it. Keep waiting...

  13. There's a button at the top right of that page. Click it to toggle between body styles. Also, over to the GMC Sierra intro page on GMC's site, there is a specs/dimensions page over there. I know fer a fact the crewcab with 6.5' bed is listed therr.
  14. There is a spec/dimensions page at the order guide for the new Chivvalay trucks.
  15. There is one with a 6.5' bed.
  16. Well it seems Balthazar gets his wish. There is no regular cab, 6.5' bed Silverado or Sierra slated fer production at this particular juncture. Although if the employee discount is great enough, an extended cab 2019 Canyon SLE 4X4 in Sedona with tan and brown interior might fit the requirements, and it would fit in muh garage.
  17. First of all, it is the vroom vroom noises that make owning personal transportation meaningful. Electrification will only serve to further homogenize the car... into much less than what it is now. Loud pipes save lives.
  18. Skeeterbite, I've tole you all before I would love to have solar on my roof. Just because I am not triggered by coal, diesel and gasoline powered vehicles does not mean I demand coal to power my own home. I would not be in a fetal position sucking my thumb if it were though. Posted 30 minutes ago Shhh... no one tell @ocnblu. His house isn't powered by coal at all and his part of the state has a pretty high number of renewable "greenie weenie" projects.
  19. dfelt, Autohaus Lancaster is a very old, and large, VW-Porsche-Audi dealership in my town and the MSRP are all quoted above the sale prices. The discounts aren't yuge. They sell well enough.
  20. 2019 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado build & price is up at the NADA website for extended and crew cabs if anyone is interested. WT Z71 (comes with 18" alloys and Duratrac tires) 4X4 extended cab the way I would buy it: $41,995. WT 4X4 with Chrome package the way I'd want it: $41,205. I imagine the regular cab, long bed to be about $2k cheaper. These prices are with the tried and true 4.3 V6. With a ~400 pound lighter truck, it should do just fine. 2019 Colorado Z71 Extended Cab is now $38,735 in Crush (extra $395 for this color) with spray-in liner, V6, trailering, CHEVROLET grille, step bars and floor liners. Silverado seems competitive with Ram, pricewise.
  21. dfelt, what are you talking about? https://www.lancasteraudipa.com/new/Audi/2018-Audi-Q3-e67ebe330a0e0ae91e8b92158a98c368.htm https://www.lancasteraudipa.com/new/Audi/2018-Audi-Q3-026da4440a0e0a6b4da50c2a7db0ae93.htm https://www.lancasteraudipa.com/new/Audi/2018-Audi-Q3-8fcb917f0a0e0adf483107959ede02a8.htm
  22. LOL the Q3 blows the Encore out of the water, it is several levels beyond in each and every aspect of design, performance, engineering, etc. etc. etc.
  23. I really like the current one and this steps it up a notch. If I dreamed a dream we would be graced with the torque and efficiency of the diesel in America. I was pricing these a few months ago and a decent one goes for around $37k... extremely competitive when you look at prices for other, much lesser CUVs from non-luxury marques. The completely lackluster Envision comes glaringly into view.
