  1. They've done a fantastic job modernizing the car without losing its identity. I like the fact that it is not retro, yet it still honors the first-gen car. A lot of people were hoping six would borrow from the second gen, and I may have been one of them back then, but not now. The 2016 Camaro is truly a knockout. I would probably choose the 2.0t over the 3.6L too, with a six speed manual, if I were in the market.
  2. That is a good suggestion, Mr. dfelt!
  3. I am taking a new route to work, it is a two-lane with a maximum speed limit of 45 mph. Some areas are as slow as 30 mph, through a few small towns. The 4-lane that I used to run is a destroyer of paint (Beetle had myriad chips on the front end when I traded it, but no rust spots... VW metal is excellent in that regard) and I don't want my new truck chipped up.
  4. Fuel stop: 434.2 miles, 17.955 gallons. 24.18 MPG.
  5. Ugh, the Ram dial-a-gear is too too gay. HATE IT.
  6. 2.) The last American car push-button automatic has not been built. Current Lincoln MKZ.
  7. Ohhhhh... I dunno, that Transit Low Roof is one hot papa. I'd love to see one done 70's style, with airbrushed murals, porthole windows, aluminum slot or Cragar S/S wheels, white letter tires, a full crushed velvet interior...
  8. "BUZZ KILLINGTON", are you new here? You know very well that CAFE standards are what I am referring to, and it is only going to get worse.
  9. Further proof that without artificial restrictions, Americans will buy what they really want to drive. I am all for that idea.
  10. Another harebrained theory: Buick buyers WANT a soft riding, quietly luxurious car to drive after dealing with patients all day. Regal jars them with its Euro sport sedan demeanor, it is incongruous with what people expect, and want, from a Buick. LaCrosse, Enclave and Verano seem to fit in better with that image.
  11. Again, I believe the local brands should stay... SEAT and Skoda. I honestly believe car buyers over there are more nationalistic than we are.
  12. I agree with Buzz Killington. Sonic is the nicest car in its class except for the gimmicky instrument cluster, but if it ain't no good, Sloan's plan will never pan out. I have hopes for the new Spark, Volt, and Cruze, and wonder how soon a new Sonic will hit the street. You can bet a modest little Yaris will run forever. There is a new white 3-door in my neighborhood with black, size-appropriate alloys on it, and dark windows. It is kept spotless, looks neat! It may have 36 horsepower compared to Sonic's extravagant 138, but I'll bet it'll do everything it's designed to do, faithfully.
  13. I believe the European car buyer is much more patriotic in his car buying habits than Americans, who do not seem to give a crap. VW needs to keep Skoda and SEAT.
  14. When the original modern 500 appeared, I was happy, but everything since then has been a dud for Fiat. I do like the new 500X though.
  15. It does bring the Kia Forte to mind like Uncle Dave said, but like Cory said, maybe it's the camera lens. Weird rear bumper likely an RS item. After the criticism of the black triangle, they've doubled down on that element with this one. I am sure once we see it in the metal, it will look good though.
  16. The Cruze in question appears to be an RS model.
  17. Where can I see a photo of a base Volt? All I see is the bright blue Brougham GT model in press photos. I want to see what I would get for the base price, without curb feelers and Yosemite Sam mudflaps.
  18. It was an excellent car. I would recommend one. If I were doing it all again in March of 2013, I would go with a Golf 3-door TDi for the extra utility and to be a little more above constant suspicion.
  19. 419.9 miles, 18.895 gallons. 22.22 MPG.
  20. '69 Mustang Mach 1, copper color, in fine shape driving.
  21. green
  22. I find it too funny that the Wrangler-or-nothing crowd continues to be proven wrong regarding the Cherokee and Renegade. Not to mention the plucky little Patriot, still waving the flag.
  23. Colorado and Canyon have PLENTY of room to grow in the market, as the hoary old buckboard Tacoma continues to clean their clock. I really hope it is only production capacity and not something else keeping them down.
