  1. I'm a fan of the current French wildness in car design. Citroens are really cool. I can attest to the fact that the Le Car was a fun little dinghy.
  2. Haven't seen a '74 Suburban this nice since I was 10 years old. Wow.
  3. "Technology" is continuing to evolve on the ICE front, as well.
  4. It is news because that is extraordinarily high for the US.
  5. A tap? So you're off to Happy Hour?
  6. Je ne parle Francais in this case. Tippy!
  7. Fossil fuels won out a hundred years ago over electric and steam for a reason. Long live gasoline and diesel fuel! *taps fingers on desk waiting for down votes but I don't give a rat's ass*
  8. sexton
  9. Car is roint. Love the Hot Rod Cadillac idea, but the execution is absolutely horrible. Tailfins are not from a '79, they're from a later car. Aftermarket grille is ugly. Ugh.
  10. Left my camera on the kitchen table. Meant to take it along.
  11. It's a cute li'l puddle jumper. I've seen maybe half a dozen around my area, but never the interior in person.
  12. It's not good to fight over which is best. They're different. I know which one I'd pick.
  13. It can win them back for 15 minutes because they have such short attention spans. Witness any number of trendy sport coupes that have come and gone before the 140. The 130 is a timeless design that appeals to tuners who miss the Nissan 240SX, Corolla AE86, Mazda RX-7, and the like. The 130 is a more useful competitor for the BRZ... Millenials said they want to take their friends along for the ride. Code 130R is a true 4 seat coupe with appeal to more than 1 generation, not some rakish flash-in-the pan that will last 2 years on the market before those Millenials want something else. Did you catch the bit where the 140 tested better with older ppl than the 130 in Chevrolet's research so far? Seems crazy, don't it? But it shows the 130 has wider appeal to more age groups.
  14. When I read 90-95% of the size of a Silverado I was like I certainly hope this truck has meaningful differentiators v. the Silverado. And that tadpole front end irks me. Let's see a GMC with a Terrain-like front end (that's higher off the ground). 2.5L 4, 2.8L diesel 4, and 3.6L V6 sould like great powertrain choices to me, if they can be properly tuned for truck duty, which can be severe v. car duty. It still must retain its mechanical ruggedness. I hope the US version shows up at Chicago... time is drawing nigh if they're gonna sell this as a 2013 model. Shouldn't this thread be posted in "Chevrolet Trucks" section?
  15. Nobody remembers the MK vehicle names. They always get the wrong last letter. This to me is a high indicator of a failed naming strategy. Cadillac is nearly as forgettable with their scheme, but I think with the first letter being the variant instead of the last, it helps a smidge to ease confusion. Just a smidge.
  16. One more off-topic post in here. The above stories remind me of the movie Up. Hey Roger, that Colorado is a 1LT like I had, it is not a Z71. The flares are GM Accessory. Z71s have chrome bumpers and grilles, body-color flares and Z71 decals. It's a good looking rig though. You should try out the Liberty Jet, man. I have not driven a Jet so I cannot speak about the ride with the 20s, but the regular Liberty drives nice, with a very solid feel.
  17. "I think once the 2.0 Turbo arrives as well as the 2.5 this car will take off. " Good one, hyper! They should burn a little rubber when they take off with those engines, if you turn off the traction control. I think old folks prefer large cars because the ride just is not there in a small car. The Verano is a sweet Buick, though, for a 4-door sedan.
  18. Go read the Motor Trend chief's take on these two. And pervy, do you need a link? I can give you a link. Let me know.
  19. Ugh then you have to plug its sorry ass in and fire up those coal-fired power plants. I would convert my house to solar power if I had the money, but I am another that will NEV VER want a stupid, uninvolving electric appliance for a vehicle. To me they are the antithesis of what an automobile should be. And thankfully, the world auto market agrees with me, despite the hype.
  20. Ugh, I hate to break in here again with news like this... got a text tonight. Aunt & Uncle bought a 2012 Forester in gray, trading in their trusty 1997 S-10 Blazer they bought new. :/
  21. I think the new Pathfinder looks good for a CUV. In profile, it resembles a new Durango, imo. It is not as squat and wide looking as a new Explorer (which struck me as Ford's Pacifica when following one the other day). And it has stuck with Nissan's sweet, bullet-proof V6 engine, for uncomplicated, reliable performance over the life of the vehicle. I'm also happy that the Xterra is sticking with its body-on-frame design.
  22. A diesel LaCrosse would be less complicated, more long-lived, more torque-heavy, and get much better fuel mileage while having an uncompromised luggage area.
  23. I need one of those horns man.
  24. Because he has a little red arrowhead "down there"?
