Congratulations to Buick! This is excellent news that should be blasted at volume 11. But... does this speak louder of the car, or the owners? How did The LaCrosse's platform mates score lower? AFAIK, Buick has no engineering staff that could have affected that much of an improvement for their car over the Chevrolet and Pontiac W-bodies. It couldn't be a manufacturing facility advantage, either. -

This fits better with Buick, surely, than Alpha. Let Buick remain the "soft luxury" brand, Cadillac the "sport luxury" brand, and Pontiac the "sporty, affordable" brand.

Less distinctive than the current truck. I do like the current, tall grille in the HD truck, so hopefully the production version is more assertive. GM's decision to consistently put tiny tires on their HD trucks is part of the reason the current bumper looks too big. With a suitably large, knobby tire, the current HD bumper is de-emphasized, normalized in size.

How do we know the ground effects will be black in production? Maybe they are shown black to stand out better on the site and they're body color in production.

Yeah, we briefly touched on this in my Polo thread. The Euro Polo is perfect, I'm sure it is about the size of a Mk I Rabbit... big enough to be plenty useful with the hatchback. This is dismal news.

As ever, this platform is essential for Pontiac, and Pontiac is essential for Alpha. Buick does not fit. AT ALL.

There are two stripe packages listed. One is the up-and-over stripes, the other is the bonnet stripe package, which includes the fender/door stripe in addition to the up-and-over. My 1LT/RS came to $27,000 even.
