  1. What do you mean "too late"? The Prius is driven exclusively by dorks, that fact is well documented. Cobalt drivers merely go about their bizness quietly while supporting their country.
  2. Hahaha... listen to Pontiac Custom-S talking about the hood scoops on the G8... those VERY RESTRAINED hood scoops. Then take a look at what he drives... a Grand Prix GXP, with throwback 1970's Trans Am fender scoops. What the hell is the difference?
  3. I'll stick with the simplicity of internal combustion, thanks. And I do not want to look like a DORK.
  4. *stare*
  5. Remote keyless entry can only be installed on cars with power door locks. And Vipes, is there any sort of warranty left on the car, did your grandmother purchase an extended warranty that may be transferrable, do you know? I would be moderately concerned about noises myself, and would want them checked out. Maybe someone on a Cobalt forum can help.
  6. ohhhhh... wrong answer, son. For that, you will be punished.:AH-HA_wink:
  7. We just did about $9k worth of work to the front end of an '08 Sebring Limited in that gunmetal color, with the lighter gray interior. Yes, the big headlights are still a sticking point, but overall, I have mellowed considerably to the design. Heck, a base Avenger isn't even horrible, imo. They're no worse than Chrysler's efforts in this class ever were. The competition is... different, shall I say, but in my travels, I've seen a good amount of the current Sebring/Avenger on the road. SOMEBODY must want a modest, workaday midsize sedan.
  8. Not bad atall, Vipes! Happy Motoring!
  9. In all seriousness, this is solid good news. In a better economic climate, who knows how well it would do. This is clear evidence that with the right product, the Pontiac brand has a very viable place in GM's stable, and the market as a whole. I too would like to see a coupe, convertible, wagon and the erstwhile ST join the sedan... along with the Solstice, such a lineup could be all Pontiac needs to rekindle and resize the brand in this new reality. Take heart, GM management.
  10. search the sound of a rubber glove snapping against a wrist as it is being donned still can give me shivers of fear
  11. I love the snorty attitude of the 1-series, that would be the one I buy. I also like the current 3-series coupe, including the M3... but the M3 is stratospherically priced.
  12. On the cage thing, dogs tend to have a "nesting" spot, so I can easily see a dog taking to a crate, in fact, my mom's Bijon loves hers. I could never ask a dog of mine to learn a crate, though. I guess growing up on a farm where our dogs could always have free run shaped my position on this. Camino, your many reasons are certainly valid for crating, of course.

    Very nice looking rig.
  14. "1" for the win!
  15. I'm sorry, Roger. What a bite in the ass. So many ppl are in the same boat, and it's listing to the left more and more each day. I know working in a dealership, as I do, doesn't help me sleep at night. I just hope things improve soon for the whole country.
  16. Good catch, Mr. Doane. Are you gonna order one to replace your Audi?
  17. How about a 3-door hatch as a Pontiac, and a conventional coupe for Chevrolet. I am not a sedan fan, nor a 5-door hatch fan. And real wagons need to be reintroduced to the affordable car market.
  18. To me this vehicle seems redundant with the wonderful HHR and the brand new Equinox already covering the 5-seater MPV market. This will never be a suitable replacement for the HHR, in my eyes. Orlando is not an ugly car, it's just different and clearly not as special as HHR. The only way it could fit is if the HHR goes out of production, and I believe that vehicle still has at least a few years left of market sweetness before ppl get tired of it.
  19. Have a good one up there in Hill Country.
  20. That's not a '75 Catalina, as captioned, it's a Bonneville. The '75 Catalina was more a twin to the Canadian Laurentian shown.
  21. Camino, the fight aftermath had to be traumatic, but is there any way you can reconsider sending one of your dogs away? I know you've done what you can to keep them from hurting each other, but is there maybe some other way to ensure they cannot get to each other when you're not there? I think you share my belief that a commitment to a pet should be for the lifetime of that pet. It would wrench my heart out if I thought it had to come to this. Please let us know what you decide, and I hope their injuries heal quickly.

  25. More Challengers, this time on the road: two orange R/Ts and a silver SE. They certainly stand out in a beautiful way.
