  1. Will you seek out Sadeeka and make her sad?
  2. Are you serious?:AH-HA_wink:

  4. By GM's own founding principle, you've GOT to have a great entry-level car to get young ppl in the door, then keep them interested throughout their lifetime with something better at each trade-in time.
  5. I see lots of 'em around here. They are still a good looking car, imo. I would own the GT coupe with 18s any day. It continues to be GM's only midsize coupe. The updates are minor, and I wish they'd done something more with the taillights and decklid on the sedan, but all in all, this is still a clean, sensuous, genuine Pontiac.

    8 grand...

Well yah, I could pay the car off. The house payment would still be sticking in my craw, though.

  9. Funny thing, when a girl has a little hair around her nips it's a turnoff, but on a guy, a little hair around the nips is a turnON. Why is that?

    8 grand...

I wish my house and car were paid off. $14,670 doesn't even come close.
  11. Ugh, I realized that drinking 5 Stoli-O and Gingers on an empty stomach is not a good idear. There is a reason why I don't drink much. I am proud to say I'm a lightweight when it comes to alcohol, I just wish I had stopped sooner, or eaten something.
  12. Ahh... good times.
  13. Looking at the cover of the current issue of A/W magazine, with a white example of this car, I cannot help but think of the stark, technical design of the first-gen CTS and the subsequent STS, especially from the front 3/4 angle. It is not a warm design. There is a giant slab of sheetmetal (to paraphrase turbo200 in his critique of the CTS coupe) between the rear wheel arch and the beltline. The rear 3/4 view is better, but still not great. The darker color brings out the hockey stick line at the quarter panel, which appears to be an attempt to remedy that high beltline problem. The tiny quarter window reminds me of the '49 Ford, just as moltar said, it does look like a 4-door greenhouse on a 2-door car. I do appreciate their continued pillarless hardtop coupe configuration, but this is not an elegant solution. Unfortunate. I am a fan of the minimalist German car dashes of the early 90's and prior. BMW was the first to return to that aesthetic. I like most current BMW dashes without NAV and without I-drive. Mercedes' take on the retro dash theme is less successful than BMW's, imo. It does look cheap... which is different than minimalist. That steering wheel is 80's Hyundai cheap looking.
  14. Cool on the M photo, mustang. I liked those, too, and maybe the MCE version even more.

  16. They're building on the icon status of the current 300 with this new one. I like the updates, even if the render is "high school". The Charger I'm not sold on. It looks like they've tried to put '99 Concept cues onto a body proportionally similar to the current car, ehhh...

  19. In my business, Mopar is the worst for unexpected engineering changes to replacement parts throughout a given model year. For example on a Grand Cherokee, if it needs a replacement hatch gate, you have to buy a whole new wiper motor and latch because somebody found a problem somewhere and decided to completely redesign the whole thing internally. The list is endless and it's on just about every Mopar product. They even changed the look of the outside belt moldings on Rams, so if you replace one, you have to replace all of them so they match in appearance, the old style molding is no longer available. It all seems so random. So yes, Chrysler's engineers are still known for being overzealous.
  20. Oh man, I haven't seen one of those sad Monacos in forever. And with a longitudinally-mounted engine and FWD, I can see how they could have inspired the LH cars.

  25. Bob Smith Automotive Group, aka "The GM Giant", in Easton, MD, has closed recently after GMAC filed a 14 million dollar judgment against the dealership for non-payment of loans. 100 employees out of work, the lot empty. Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, GMC and Cadillac were sold there, and Oldsmobile before they were killed. The dealer principal believes his debt can be paid with the inventory taken from his lot, and the dealership is for sale. This is quite a blow to Easton's economy, a small town on Maryland's Eastern Shore. They were one of GM's largest volume dealers, and won "GMAC's Dealership of the Year" in 2001. I worked there for 10 years, 1993-2003. Things are really getting bad out there.
