My '92 Golf had a stupid problem when I first got it... when it rained, the fanbelts squealed like crazy from water splashing up from the road. A Technical Bulletin revealed it needed a simple, plastic splash shield attached at the frame rail/lower radiator support to prevent the issue. Your problem seems similar, in a way. I am pretty sure they have gravel roads in Germany at VW's Proving Grounds. If gravel causes a problem like this, it should be considered a problem with their pre-production testing and engineering, not your fault, from what you've told us. I'll be waiting to hear a more complete splanation from your VW dealer.

Well, my breast is all rubbed with I Can't Believe it's not Butter and it's in the oven with a dish of Miller High Life next to it. The homemade cranberry sauce is in the fridge, and the greenbean casserole and sweet potatoes are all ready to stick in the oven when it's time. I am going to mix up my doctored Stove Top and bake it in a foil-covered dish. It's all coming together nicely so far, I just wish somebody was here to share it wif. I am going to be so stuffed.

I stopped by a local, high-class mixed bar yesterday afternoon for a glass of wine, and I sat near some of the owners who were enjoying alcoholic beverages of their own. They said that Thanksgiving Eve is the biggest drinking day of the year. After catching up on this thread this morning, I totally believe it! It's cool though. And to those who have suggested Hugh Jackman, I fully concur! Although James Franco makes me rub my chin and say hmmmmm...... I'll have me some of that.
