  1. I thought the current-gen Tiburon looked like a Ferrari compared to the previous car. It still looks pretty good, but this car changes everything, especially the RWD part. Any interior pics yet? Yup smallchevy, the 260hp 2.0L Ecotec turbo and a sweet 3.6L DI V6 riding in the Alpha platform would make a fantastic, modern Firebird, imo.
  2. ??? The Cobalt, "generic"? How so... it's got Chevy DNA from stem to stern. Yes, the dash may be a lower-budget echo of the previous-gen Jetta, but otherwise, it's all Chevy, especially the coupe.
  3. Any good news regarding Pontiac gladdens my heart.
  4. Well, it fits you and CP's relationship to a T, that's why I posted it. Burns and Smithers are the cartoon versions of you two bois! :AH-HA_wink:
  5. I keep exposing myself to the Asstra, but I always come away feeling less than thrilled over it... it feels... emotionless or something. It is missing a certain passion. It certainly has that German stiff upper lip.
  6. This is very close to what a new Firebird should be. I'd like to see this car chopped into a Pontiac.
  7. Distinctive (love the beltline dip), sporty, RWD, and purportedly affordable, what's not to like? Hyundai certainly has made some quantum leaps in quality and all-around appeal in recent years. Good for them.
  8. you called?
  9. Two very nice new Foresters, a 2.5X in silver and a brown L.L. Bean, on the lot. Also, local Saturn dealer has a couple of white Asstra 3 doors, one automatic, one 5 speed with 18" rims.
  10. I knew you'd love it, Borger. :AH-HA_wink: And smallchevy, I spend a few minutes a day at PerezHilton, towleroad, Outsports, Autoweek, Motor Trend, any number of car manufacturers' sites, oh... and a little place called xtube.
  11. O.C., yes, the LUV was an Isuzu, and the Courier was a Mazda. Truly small, economical pickup trucks are ripe for a comeback. That little Chevy Montana, at the bottom of their truck line, could do well if sold here with updated styling and spunky Ecotec and diesel engines (oooh, how about an HHR pickup?). An M80 based on the Caliber might be cool, and VW could come to the US with another tiny pickup (smaller than the recent spy photos suggest). Does Ford sell a tiny truck anywhere they could bring here?
  12. Thanks, loki. It's what I've been hoping for ever since we saw the concept version. Simply gorgeous and hot.
  13. Holy hotness, Batman. Where'd you find that at the site? I've been looking, but haven't been able to find that picture. Help!
  14. Darn it, I wish they'd speak English. I can't understand a word they're saying! :AH-HA_wink: Doh!
  15. weightlifting
  16. Was it thrusting through traffic?
  17. Hey Smithers, vid link please. I want to see Bob Lutz dance.
  18. meat
  19. To be remedied with Alpha, Borger, unless some sinister, Mr. Burns-like person prevents Australia (and Pontiac) from having this platform that is perfect for both entities.
  20. For people who don't "get" this vehicle... turn your heads while those of us that do, revel. I named it "Sprint", if only to cast a vote AGAINST this misguided movement to name it "El Camino".

    Flybrian

That's FlyBrain, you know, that shriveled little gray thing you tickle when you pick your nose?
  22. "The Black Forest of Bavaria"
  23. Last paragraph of Motor Trend's article on the G8 GXP: "The good news is that neither Pontiac nor Holden are production-constrained. So you and all your brothers and sisters can buy one and erase memories of the Widely Cladded Pontiacs once and for all."
  24. Oh duh now I get it. ANYHOO, calling this Pontiac Sport Truck an El Camino would be silly. El Camino is a Chevrolet. I don't know what I'd call it, though... just bring it.
  25. Uh Borger, I think he was talking about your laptop's next owner, not your shiny new Holden HSV GTS, what with all the gunt porn and all. :AH-HA_wink: You know you want to buy that Holden, you have to be a nutjob not to.
