    Mysticism

Hehehe, after I posted this, I saw the "production" Camaro convertible thread up in the Camaro Center here. Sigh... I think I will officially "chicken out" tomorrow. :AH-HA_wink:
  2. Oh I thought the title of the thread was "car feces", I was expecting to see pictures of TRDs.
  3. Chevy has to cater to everyone. They're going all-out here. Some of this gingerbread will make the 4th-gen guys happy. It's not for me, though. The unadorned bodyshell has a purity that can only be corrupted by add-ons, imo. I'd still love to have a brown 3.6L DI six-speed manual, with either black or saddle interior. The only thing I'd be willing to do (and this is rare for me if you've seen my rants in the past) is add the low-profile lip spoiler to the decklid.

    Mysticism

Today at lunch, I had to go past the local BPG dealership. I immediately noticed a nice looking '09 Vibe GT in Mystic Blue with sunroof. Mystic Blue is a sort of teal color, and with the handsome 18" GT rims, it was by far the best looking new Vibe I've seen yet. After work, I decided to stop in and take a test drive. "My" salesdude was there who sold me my truck. He stuck a dealer tag on the car and I drove it off the dealer's front lawn. The Vibe GT is pretty much a loaded vehicle, with a long list of standard stuff, including cloth seats with leather trim and a kickass Monsoon sound system. The 5-speed manual transmission and clutch work fine together. The 2.4L engine has good, smooth pickup, and seems torquey. I got up to 80 mph on the freeway before I knew it. The car has a bit more road noise than my Sierra (understandably), but it is not objectionable. And the color really grabbed me. The sticker price seems reasonable for a GT with sunroof and "smoker's package", at $20,100. I told salesdude I'd be back in there tomorrow around 10 to have my truck appraised and to put together some figures. Not sure yet if I will chicken out, I'll let you all know.
  5. Both of local dealer's G8s are sold now.
  6. To me, that old Dodge is more like an aging Drag Queen, with her eyebrows did. :AH-HA_wink:
  7. Very nice, evenhanded write-up. Thanks for posting, GMTG.
  8. ooooo, pics please. I've never seen an Imapla. Who makes it?
  9. Hope you had a good one, e.
  10. Congratulations! The G6 is a fine car. It looks good in that configuration, and you got rid of two negatives: the panoramic roof, and the electric steering. Well done, sir.
  11. You did a great job, z. Thanks for getting out there.

Agreed on the wording. It's almost like PCS is writing their stuff. :AH-HA_wink:
  14. I find this vehicle attractive in and out, and with the third seat optional, it fits between the Edge and the Lambdas nicely. I hope it does well in the market. The $1k introductory incentive seems like a good way to help middle Americans feel better about making a big purchase like this. Well done, Dodge, imo.

Correction: yes, the poll is still open. Make your opinion count.

  17. Big shoes.
  18. Congratulations on your new Pontiac, Diehard.
  19. Toni, both of your G6's look hot. I'd rather see the black car without the whaletail, though.

Dammit, looks like the poll has been closed already, seemingly much sooner than other polls run over there. Hmmm...

Autoweek.com has a poll up on their home page, seeking opinions on the G8 ST. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and vote. Show some lurve for the newest G8 variant!
