The Mini Cooper comes with vinyl seats and 115 hp, thereabouts, on the base model.

HA, that wonderful aluminum front structure in the 5-series cannot be repaired in a fairly moderate accident... insurance companies have been pissed they had to total so many 5-series cars because of this. Give me a steel understructure any day.

Leave her alone, Borger. When given a choice between a red blooded, RWD sports car and an Asstra, it was a no-brainer! Take this as a preview of what will happen if Pontiac gets shut down... if Carl-Peter gets his way in GMNA... people WILL shop elsewhere for cars that light their fire... plain and simple.

RK Sport makes a tasteful, traditional Pontiac Ram Air hood for the G5. I wonder what a G5 GT, in white, with that hood, tinted windows, Eibach springs and a set of snazzy 17" aftermarket rims would look like...

Borger saved those Motor Trend sketches because he was hoping at the time they were published to eventually be able to purchase one as a Pontiac. Unfortunately since then he has become brainwashed. I think an Intervention is in order. :AH-HA_wink: Seriously, even though the photos are tiny, you guys can get a better feel for the proposed GTO by checking the photo set at Motor Trend... not renderings, actual photos, taken from a great distance. Spy Stuff. -

There is a set of photographs apparently taken with a telephoto lens, showing this car as a proposed Pontiac GTO with a full-width split Pontiac grille over at Motor Trend magazine's website. According to the site, they were taken a couple of years ago and used as a basis for some renderings some of us may have seen back then, published in the magazine. The car looks great in the pictures. The full-width grille looks great. I only wish the photos were bigger.
