  1. zzzzzzzz.... huh? Sorry, what thread is this? I must have dozed off.
  2. OK, I'll bring some duct tape.
  3. He was a friend of mine.
  4. If you're not sure, you can go online and compare the bolt circle measurements between the Jeep and your Ford.
  5. Beautiful interior. Sexy 6.0. Interesting new logo.
  6. The white Z06 has a classic look to it. Very nice.
  7. Where's the Sable wagon?
  8. You decide if they'll look good, but first you have to make sure the bolt circle is the same. Will they fit your hubs? Will they rub your bodywork anywhere, over bumps, in turns?
  9. I don't know what I'm talking about, eh? So, the personal attacks begin. I voiced my opinion about the car, and it stands. This car appears to have an excellent performance credential, but from a design standpoint, it is by and large flat. It certainly does not compare to the car in your signature. That is an American car. The G8, from what I've seen, lacks that passion in a good portion of its design. It has the same design failings, updated, that hurt the GTO. It is version 2.0.
  10. bigmike, I got anywhere from about 18 to a high tank of 23.4.
  11. White Yaris hatchback sitting in someone's front yard with a "For Sale" sign on the windshield. Guess it wasn't such a good idear after all. :AH-HA_wink:
  12. I found the Colorado perfectly sized. Bigger than an S-10, appreciably smaller than a fullsize. I found my truck to be goodlooking outside, and functional and durable inside. My truck had an MSRP of $26,000 even. That was in 2004. Since then, the prices haven't gone up much. I bought my truck in January of 2004, with my employee discount, for $19k. I just sold it last month for $14,800 with 43k miles. Not a damn thing wrong with it, I just wanted a new toy. I was able to turn a 17.11 second quarter mile at the track after two passes with the 3.5L engine. I was not satisfied with my launches and felt I could have gone into the high 16 second range with a couple more passes. The newer Colorados, with the 3.7L engine, should be noticeably quicker, with more power and torque. For a first-year vehicle, I felt my truck was very reliable. The drivetrain was bulletproof, and I ran the piss out of it. These are good trucks. Keep them on your list. Take it from a former Colorado owner.
  13. Nice, SS623. These Novas are still affordable, and you can do everything to these you can do to a Camaro, afaik. Please update us as you go through the process.
  14. Thanks, Holden! You already installed cheap looking, Pep Boys taillights in this car! Now it looks like every other loser who thinks Altezzas look cool! You know how utterly ridiculous Altezzas look on, say, a Mustang? It ruins the identity of the car. It does the same thing to this "Pontiac". Oh, and Holden, thank you for the boring ass Aussie styling from the windshield back! You've managed to give us another basically boring, dated bodyshell with a thin layer of "sportiness" sprinkled on. At least they didn't put that stupid, high wing on it. Good things: 3.6L entry level, should do a lot to make it more successful than GTO. Front end styling. Everything under the skin. Low, classy rear spoiler. Excellent interior. Manual availability, at least in the V8.
  15. Well, I'll be dagnabbed. Happy Birtday, Farkas.
  16. The front end is the best thing about it, imo, so far. The fenders should have had the same scallop with arrowhead as the Solstice. As it is, you can purchase vents like that at Pep Boys to tack onto anything. The midsection and rear end... very tepid. The taillights are generic. Pretty much what I feared... and expected, really. I am moving toward it a tenth of an inch at a time. Next tenth: seeing official pics, then real-life pics at the Show... and finally in person.
  17. Good write-up, hyper.
  18. loki, the "dual removable" option is most likely a body-color roof panel and a tinted Lexan roof panel, the customer gets both and can interchange them. Not a new option for Corvette. Kind of like Jeep's "dual top" option for the Wrangler, where the customer gets a hard- and softtop.
  19. Thanks for your hard work, Raider and crew.

  21. I'm not happy to see you go. It's clear from your posts that you're a passionate guy doing what you feel is right. The goal, I believe, is to enjoy yourself while on the internet. If you can't do that, then why turn on the computer? So, if you find more enjoyment elsewhere, that's a decision you have to make. I'll still read your posts here when you stop by. Above all, have fun and get the word out.

  23. Chrysler does have vast experience with turbo 4 cylinders, partially out of necessity when they were broke and didn't have any other alternative for performance variants on their various FWD cars. I'll be interested in seeing how this hot new Caliber SRT-4 performs. I'll bet it will be a barnburner. Look out Cobalt SS/SC, WRX, and Mazda Mazda3 MazdaSpeed 3!
  24. Wait a second... it's 80 inches wide? That has to be a typo. That's as wide as my truck! This is a fantastic car for Saturn. The only problem I see is, will they be able to keep up with demand? Isn't there a production cap on these first, imported Astras? Also, with the 1.8L, I was hoping for about 38 mpg highway, but I understand this is probably figured with the new rules. Kudos to GM for recognizing with this car that Americans can be interested in a premium small car. As far as amenities and overall execution go, size no longer matters. It's something VW has known for decades with their Golf/Rabbit, which is purchased by all kinds of people. With Saturn's good customer service rep, I don't see how this car can lose.
  25. Yup moltie, that's why I mentioned "percentage", not just "units sold".
