  1. Thanks for posting that, Reg. The farmers get it.
  2. 2002 Camaro SS: 345HP and 28 MPG .
  3. Glad to see you here, BP! And that Nova would be a great one to be featured on this show! None of my Chevys are ready for prime time - but I must have had at least 30 of them by now.
  4. Hope it's been a good one so far.
  5. Yeah, it's definitely the race type. I guess they are skirting the laws by selling the can and spout separately. I'm going to check with the suppliers we use for the race cars. We have some cans like that (just larger), but we use a hand pump rather than a spout or hose. They are way too big to handle otherwise.
  6. They would have been promo/test drive/adverstising cars, they were given to GM employees to drive and then sold through dealerships. They built a few Skys, an Opel GT or two and a Daewoo or two. Thirty cars in total. They were built during the run of 2009 cars, so they were not the last cars built chronologically.
  7. That might just work - if you can get a spout for it. Thanks for the link.
  8. Yup. It is this kind of thing that shows C&G at its best.
  9. And Olds, you may as well lock this up again - it's a spent thread.
  10. Just to clarify NOS, I'm not against any of that. In fact, it is a good plan to sell the car to younger segments of the demographic. My point is that attempting to change the taste of traditional V8 buyers of Camaro is foolish. It will never happen. Expanding the car's appeal to new buyers, on the other hand, makes a ton of sense. But the core (as demonstrated by sales) wants a V8 in their Camaro. You just don't walk away from that.
  11. No, I'm just going to wait for garage sale season.
  12. Same problem with IE, noticed it a couple of days ago when clicking any outside link.
  13. Here! Here! Looking forward to that "other" design. There's a comment I want to make on this contest that'll have to wait until you have it done.
  14. Malibu was never an official trim level on El Camino, but the emblems often found their way onto some of the cars. Very odd.
  15. It would seem that mild winters are a thing of the past.

What the hell were they thinking? They must have spent a fortune on that mutation.
  17. Just saw a very nice '68 Chevelle SS396 out for a cruise around the salty icebox that is southeastern PA. Couldn't believe the owner would have it out today.
  18. Lows at, or near zero predicted for tonight...
  19. If you are attempting to move buyers from V8 to V6 and fours, Camaro is not the right nameplate to do that with. I'm not saying that such cars can't be sold successfully, rather that you will not be moving any of the current V8 buyers to a non-V8 Camaro (or Mustang for that matter). I would be far more likely to be interested a small RWD car that doesn't have its identity tied up in a V8 heritage if it is to be powered by a 4-banger. Cars that have that heritage would only appeal to me in V8 form. But A turbo 6 in a Buick Avant would get my attention. Those of us who are the V8 musclecar faithful will never opt for lesser engines in cars with those nameplates. Trying to move this group of buyers in that way is foolish. New cars have to be created for the new engines rather than twisting a square peg into a round hole. As long as Camaro, Mustang, Challenger, and the like exist, they will need optional V8 power. If that can no longer be done, it's time to retire them gracefully. All legends have a lifespan.
  20. A day late and a couple of billion short, I'm afraid.
  21. Not what I meant. I see what GM and Mallet did with the Solstice as illustrative of what can be done with a small RWD car. Both the shape of the coupe, and the use of 4 and 8 cylinder engines. It is just an exemple of what is possible in a smaller, lighter Camaro on Alpha. The Solstice shows what is possible.
  22. There is a metaphor in there somewhere...
  23. Filthy minds. A 2012 one-off Boss 302 mustang went for 450k. A 1000 HP, mid-engined, radical custom 1963 Corvette only took 120k. The engineering of this car was unreal, I would bet that it cost double that to build.
  24. All true, Balthy. Interesting though. The pace car went for 225k.
  25. The ambulance just sold for 120k - tons of documentation seem to show it to be legit. Camaro Indy pace car is coming up.
