  1. That could be a ton of fun...
  2. I have some styling gripes (hate the front end), but it looks to be a promising small truck.
  3. Ha! Nice edit! I like where you are going with the issues idea - it is why many of my more recent posts in the politics forum were questions. I like to hear ideas and think them over so that when I respond I can pick up on the positives I see in anyone's viewpoint. That's why I feel so disappointed when the topic descends into partisan bickering - I tend to bail on the discussion at that point.
  4. what is it called when the sovereign mind is inebriated? lol Politics.
  5. Interesting point of view. I would never equate agenda to context.
  6. I really miss that feeling...
  7. No, the problems start when ideas morph into agendas.
  8. Meh, agendas are like parties - if they sort of fit, most people will wear them. Ideas are better.
  9. Sorry to be so late to the party. Congrats, Mr. Bluknob.
  10. Exactly my point. Politics is nothing but philosophy's stupid brother. The parties dumb things down even further than that. I'd rather know what someone thinks about a given topic than hear whatever the party line happens to be. Toss the labels and the hot button words, and agreement becomes easier.
  11. I sure hope that it is still possible. Each of us has a sovereign mind, we'd do well to remember that.
  12. It's a bit more existential than that.
  13. A debate structure sounds interesting. What really matters is what each of us thinks, leaning on "sources", or "parties" is what creates all the strife in the first place. I prefer those who think for themselves.
  14. Is it coming or going?
  15. That's universal, isn't it?
  16. Thanks guys, feels a bit better this morning. The worst part is trying not to use it.
  17. Thanks for the link,Z.
  18. Many years of working with my hands is the culprit. The Doc says it will likely happen again...
  19. Thanks, Ocn.
  20. Thanks Roger, I'm not sure what i'll do about this. It's coming out of my nearly-empty pocket while it prevents me re-filling said pocket.
  21. I feel safe in saying that at least the following two items are lessons we can learn from this. 1. Nuclear plants need an expiation date. 2. The wisdom of placing a half dozen reactors in one spot is dubious at best.
  22. Bottom line: The narrow appeal that GM offered with Pontiac was further diminished by killing Pontiac, and none of what was good about the brand has been replaced. Net result? GM fades from my radar screen. Wish it was otherwise.
  23. I'm trying to type this with my left hand since my right wrist is imobilized. Made a rare trip to see a doctor today to confirm the bad news I already thought was coming my way. Right now, I can't do any of the things I usually do to make a living and am supposed to start some harsh physical therapy after "resting" my arm for several weeks. This is not in the budget. Worse, it is spring and my best chance to generate some decent level of income just evaporated. Sometimes things just suck. Sorry for not getting back to you, Olds. Been a bit fixated on this.
  24. Insufficient data to give a meaningful response. Sure hope it improves on the showcar.
