    ICE!

Everything is coated. Walking is treacherous - waiting for the Tahoe to defrost so I can attempt the lane.
  2. Decent example.
  3. The problem, Reg, is that respect needs to flow in both directions. When those in government cease to respect the citizens, they themselves release the beast that eats them. And that is exactly like Egypt. No government of any type exists without the permission of the populace.
  4. Well said, Ocn. Scott is exactly that sort of person.
  5. I tend to agree, I think those cops were completely full of crap.
  6. I would like to have been there, but had responsibilities I couldn't avoid here today. I'm sure you've learned just how good a guy Scott is - and that he is a fountain of Chevy history.
  7. Damn Stang, that's just insane! Federal crime? I don't think that passes the smell test, and is certainly not constitutional. More BS from the powers that be.
  8. I remember Gino's.
  9. Heavy snow states use gigantic ones on heavy trucks - the ones at the linked page seem a bit flimsy for the job. I envision all sorts of hassles (clogs, failures, etc.). But the idea has crossed my mind many times. I'd love to try one out, as a reliable one would solve the troubles I'm having now with the piles building-up.
  10. Beat the hell out of the ROPOS today pushing the giant mountains of snow away from the lane anywhere I could. I also cleared a lawn area (untouched all season) for an event here tomorrow (parking). One of the pressure lines on the plow exploded - so I had to replace that. And, the poor, old, ROPOS loses oil pressure at idle once hot. It also bleeds fluids constantly from everywhere. I sure hope this winter eases up soon. And oh yeah, it's snowing again...
  11. Which hasn't happened. What did happen is the tragic injury of a child due to parental negligence - period. The suit is pure BS.
  12. Which is an absurd premise - the lawsuit should be dismissed immediately.
  13. Got about 16-18" total. Very wet and heavy with a layer of ice underneath. Been awake since 5:00 AM yeaterday - lots of follow-up work still to do. Very tired.
  14. Thundersnow!
  15. From bad to worse. The storm took a break for a few hours but came back as sleet and then rain - just as we started to slip below freezing again. Any time now, it is supposed to turn back to snow and dump another 6-10". And the wind is picking up - 30mph is predicted. The trees are already weighed down with heavy snow. I expect to lose power before too long. Going to be an interesting night.
  16. The product wasn't defective - the parents were. I'd charge them with neglect.
  17. Plowed another 3-4" and spent quite a bit of time pushing the snow mountains as far back as I could. Really starting to run out of room for more snow. It warmed-up slightly and some melting is going on, so I think I'll try to nap before the next round of snow later today.
  18. Still happening - but only here at C&G.
  19. I stand corrected - never even heard of any non-M versions. I spent alot of time at a BMW dealership when these were new and never saw one.
  20. Very interesting... and sobering.
  21. ...and then some swine lawyer gets involved. Disgusting.
  22. Yes indeed, the 2002 F-bods had a near-perfect balance of power and economy. They really were one of the best-balanced peformance packages ever sold. The interiors and materials weren't anything to write home about, and they had other shortcomings, but as an overall package they were impossible to beat even against cars well above their price class. I wouldn't mind having another one as a daily driver.
  23. Well they flubbed the latest forecast. I've already plowed 5" of what was supposed to be a a "wintry mix" changing to rain, and at least 2 more inches are already back on the ground as it continues to snow. Supposedly there will be a lull, with heavy snow starting this afternoon through early tomorrow. Looks like I will be spending way too much time in the ROPOS missing my sleep.
  24. Not just no, but not even close. Even now in a trashed economy and amid fears about fuel prices, these cars are selling very well - and the V8s are leading the sales. While the "pony car" vs. "Musclecar" terminology is debateable, both the general public and auto journalists always refer to these cars as musclecars. Not only that, but they are all retro-styled and share the same basic configuration of their legendary forbears. If anything, they are more musclecar now than they were back then. That's the reality of this market.
  25. Umm, no. That is EPA highway, in the real world they can do much better than that. If you put your foot in it, sure it will drop, but the cars are very capable of cresting 30mpg highway.
