  1. ...to go to a dragstrip.
  2. I can relate to this. But, sitting down with friends and singing our hearts out while someone plays a guitar, or piano, or whatever - that takes me to another place. A good one.
  3. I don't know... I'm feeling kind of naked not having a real pickup. (The ROPOS and Mothertruck don't count)
  4. In October it will be four years since we lost my Dad - also to cancer. Funny that this is the first fathers day that I have been preoccupied with thinking about him.
  5. Here's hoping it was a great one.
  6. You don't mess around!
  7. Thanks, Stang. I never wanted kids of my own, but I have passed quite a bit to several generations while my business was still going. And, I have two nephews - so that's close enough for me. Just felt like posting as I've been thinking of my own Dad today.
  8. Cat Stevens - Father and Son It's not time to make a change, Just relax, take it easy. You're still young, that's your fault, There's so much you have to know. Find a girl, settle down, If you want you can marry. Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy. I was once like you are now, and I know that it's not easy, To be calm when you've found something going on. But take your time, think a lot, Why, think of everything you've got. For you will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not. How can I try to explain, when I do he turns away again. It's always been the same, same old story. From the moment I could talk I was ordered to listen. Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away. I know I have to go. It's not time to make a change, Just sit down, take it slowly. You're still young, that's your fault, There's so much you have to go through. Find a girl, settle down, if you want you can marry. Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy. All the times that I cried, keeping all the things I knew inside, It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it. If they were right, I'd agree, but it's them you know not me. Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away. I know I have to go.
  9. That's certainly true. Still, it was a bit of a surprise to see.
  10. To amend my earlier post: Congrats!
  11. I really want to see Woodward (Z/28 or not). Sadly, that's just not possible.
  12. '55 GMC 4x4 pickup, completely restored and standing tall in a silvery dark green with company logos on the doors. Sounded and looked great. '54? Buick droptop in red, top down and sounding potent, out for a cruise.
  13. Lots of great choices in this thread!
  14. Interesting to see just how large the male majority of overall registrations still is.
  15. Excellent! So glad to hear news on this car, congrats on making it legal. Updates on this project really make my day.
  16. Imperious people.
  17. So many choices.... But, as of this moment, I'd hunt down the cleanest 2500/2500 HD 4x4 with a plow that I could find. Need exceeds want at the moment. But that LS2 GTO is sounding mighty good...
  18. AMEN!
  19. being wrongfully accused - repeatedly.
  20. Congrats?
  21. I am envious.
  22. It would have made one hell of a video.
  23. Thanks, only one tooth did any real damgage. I saw it coming, but I would have needed two more arms to prevent it. It happened in a weird slow motion sort of way.
  24. The thought has crossed my mind, but when they fight it is so savage and real injuries result in minutes. I don't think that it is possible for them to ever get along.
  25. Yeah, and my dogs have large jaws. I was never afraid, but I was angry. So I just dove into the fray to keep them from hurting each other. I so wish that I could keep them in two different places. I've been keeping them apart for over four years now, but sometimes they get to each other. This morning Arkus pushed the door open while Zora was out side - I was a few seconds too late to prevent the fight. It's all wearing on me.
