  1. Thanks YJ, that's quite a compliment.
  2. Been going through old pictures to post them up for an old crowd of friends and ran across this one:
  3. China is so slimy about this sort of thing. It's disgusting.
  4. Some very cool shots in there, 68.
  5. Someone did, me. No one knows exactly how many LS6 Caminos were built. The estimates range from about 12 to a few hundred. But some were built as manuals. And that's what I want.
  6. No problem, I'll give the ROPOS to the owners of the property! I'm tired of pushing snow anyway.
  7. Great job on those, 68! As for hockey, FLYERS!
  8. Ugly, bloated, beast.
  9. Actually, most LS6 cars were manuals. But an LS6 El Camino is hyper-rare no matter the transmission. The Caminos and the convertibles were the rarest of the LS6 pack.
  10. Pedals are the same.
  11. I see your ability to be cryptic hasn't been affected by advancing age... J/K Enjoy Iceland.
  12. Umm guys? No votes count too.
  13. If so, what was it? My one and only RHD experience (so far) was a Turner sportscar. It was manual and a race car - so it was a bit challenging. It would take me a while to become used to shifting with my left hand, I think.
  14. Just start a new thread with a poll.
  15. 1970 El Camino SS454 LS6 manual Ford GT 1971 Hemicuda vert manual I tend to dream big.
  16. If I own it, it's for sale...
  17. Absolutely! Sounds like my experience. When I was about 12 or 13, I went to a hunting camp in the middle of nowhere in western PA with my dad. He and his buddy had me drive the buddy's F-150 4x4 with granny gear 4spd. all around the logging roads surrounding the camp. I had to get good at it in a hurry! But the first manual I drove was our '65 Chevelle wagon. Boy, can I relate to this!
  18. Happy Birthday, get to work! Have a good one, PCS.
  19. Excellent, well-thought-out post! I'm way too tired to dive into this one tonight, but it deserves a considered response. or 20
  20. Now that's funny. Hadn't thought about how few people might have had that experience. Used to be a common arrangement. I wonder how many C&G members have ever driven one.
  21. Please don't remind me of that car, what a huge disappointment it was after the stunning showcar.
  22. Maybe we've fallen back into Henry Ford's famous "any color as long as it's black" sort of mentality. He actually thought it would be a good thing if the model T never changed and everyone drove a black one. Ugh, so depressing.
  23. Baldwin Motion = good stuff! That car is flat out beautiful. Back in about '78 or '79 there was a similar Camaro with the L-88 hood in rough shape hanging around a tiny local lot at a cheap price. I've always wondered if it was a real Motion car or not.
  24. Interesting. I feel just the opposite way, that full-length bumper always looked out of place to me.
  25. Such a big empty room where our auto industry used to be...
