  1. I was just thinking that the G6 was the most disappointing car I can remember in the last decade when judged by the translation from concept to showroom. I despise that car.
  2. Seems so.
  3. Volt is a good start, not for me, but impressive.
  4. It would have been more right than any product could be for any brand. That car was what the G6 should have been.
  5. No one would be happier than me to have enthusiasm for them again, but they need to show me something.
  6. A lightweight, nimble, inexpensive, well-styled, RWD coupe with a V8 available along with a manual? Yeah, the Monza was a proto-Alpha in many ways. A fine recipe for a new car from Chevy.
  7. You have to start somewhere, and be willing to start in the first place. It might actually be good for GM to have someone buy a brand and make it work - maybe they'd finally get their act together.
  8. I think The General still suffers from a defeatist mentality.
  9. GM needs to show me something good - and soon! Without self-sabotaging it like they've done with any interesting recent stuff. They need to believe in the product for a change. Lacking that, I'd like to see someone else give it a shot.
  10. It's still burning at the moment...
  11. I hope things don't work out that way, but that's what it looks like.
  12. Yeah, sure. I'll believe that when I see it.
  13. It would take alot of money, no doubt. But the Holden Zetas are already at US spec, so not so much as would be the case otherwise. And, I'm sick of no one even trying to get something right anymore and just settling for half-assed.
  14. They will have to do much better than the plans we've heard so far to make this work.
  15. I'd build it around an import deal with Holden and go from there.
  16. There's been lots of talk about GM bringing new Caddys and Buicks to market, but what about Chevy? Don't say Cruze - we knew about that before (and I couldn't care less). Will they bring anything to interest me? I hope so, because it is the only brand they have left that I might be interested in.

  18. Actually, I believe that they did turn a small profit (at least for a while). But yeah, cost. The way that Kappa was built made them expensive to produce due to lots of hand assembly.
  19. Actually you did just that, saying "they think they have a right". Well, I just pointed out that they do, in fact, have that right. At least for now... As for the debate in this thread, I have decided not to enter the fray.
  20. I'd don't give a $h! about my TV, it just isn't important to me and never has been. In fact, I spent about a year without one.
  21. I like NH a little more every day... Might be a place I'd like to relocate to.
  22. We disagree, so all must be right with the world!
  23. The other day I saw a Toyota Venza in person for the first time. Based on web pics, I was afraid that I might actually like the styling of this car. I needn't have worried - in person it is quite homely. The car is a chunk with too high beltline, too tall tires, and a too wide body to be even remotely attractive.
  24. Bye,bye Cobalt...
  25. The Targa is the most glaring example of this. It's a damn shame that it will never get a chance to be what it could have been. Not to mention the ST. All of these cars deserved a few more model years. The rest of Pontiac was just baggage
