  1. Fascinating ruins.
  2. Not unless GM hired you right out of kindergarten. I was only 13 when I saw those turds being assembled.
  3. Don't let it pain you, FOG. What I'm trying to say here is that nothing in this segment is a stand-out product - whether or not it appeals to me as a potential purchase. I'd never buy a CTS, but that doesn't mean that I'm not impressed by it. There just isn't anything impressive in this segment yet, and I was hoping that GM would steal that thunder. They didn't.
  4. Then we disagree, FOG. I see nothing compelling there.
  5. I have yet to see anything compelling in this entire segment. For me, that would be a requirement. I want to see GM build things that I have to respect in every segment, even if I wouldn't buy in that segment. Examples: G8 sedan Corvette HHR Solstice Mini Volt Nothing in this segment does that.
  6. "Terra" is different, but I can't give the Terrain any credit designwise. It's just awful - like it's competition.
  7. See my first post in this thread, I agree with you on that point.
  8. Satty: After reading back through the last few posts, I realized that you might be talking about the "Terra" theme. In that case, yes it is polarizng - and I'm simply at the negative pole. I don't like it .
  9. Short answer: No. I never used the word "polarizing" for starters. Good design need not be polarizing to be interesting. This is not good design, it's fad-following (and late to the party at that). Most of the stuff in this segment isn't genuine - it's the automotive version of a card trick.
  10. Been there, and understand. Sorry to hear, DF.
  11. I may be alone in this, but I hope that the "Terra" theme gets deeply buried in the past. Blech!
  12. You know, BV was really lucky not to be badly hurt in that one. Just a bit more inboard of that A pillar...
  13. I'm sure it will happen someday.
  14. That's because it looks like what it really is: a minivan. The others are trying to hide from that, and just end up looking foolish.
  15. To each his own, but all of them fail in my opinion, because they are attempting to look like something they are not.
  16. I'd just like to see something in this segment with a simple, clean, and cohesive look to it. The whole segment looks like it was created by raidng the scrap heap of discarded styling cues. And each entry has an overdose of these.
  17. Just a new piece of nasty on the very nasty pile that is the CUV segment. I guess that means it hits the mark?
  18. You're right about today, DF. Too bad I blew it. Crazy insomnia last night so I got nothing done today. Nice to look at though.
  19. Those 75 were probably let go long ago as the Tundra tanked in the market.
  20. Let's just say that it is playing with fire. :AH-HA_wink:
  21. That dealership finds some cars in amazing condition, but always wants way more than market for them. You would think that they would take the time to get the decimal point in the right place, wouldn't you?
  22. I love RWD as much as you do, but I can't agree here. The Chevette was pure crap (as were its competitors back then).
  23. Saved me the effort, thanks DF.
  24. Umm, no. All of the above are intentional twistings of the actual words, it's fun (and the tendency to do it is inherited).
