  1. Don't try to sell them, you will get sued. But I love that you can have things like this done - I'll have to keep that in mind.

There is very little that could change my mind on that...
  4. It's looking like Congress will be mandating the purchase of the Volt for government fleets as well as subsidizing its purchase elsewhere. Once we know the true shape of that, it will be easier to predict a few things.

I am very curious about the votes of certain members...

Well thought out, but there are definitely some wild cards in there to consider. For example, I am toying with the idea of dumping my Silverado. As for BOF construction, it matters to me when it comes to certain vehicles but not others.

You know I put that poll choice in there just for you. EDIT: I have driven an S, and it was fun. I'll just leave it there.

I'd say that the odds are certainly in your favor from what I can see right now.

This should prove to be interesting.
  11. I highly doubt that it will be anything like 80k when all is said and done, just as I doubt that the Volt will be an actual 40K. As this tech proliferates the costs will go down and the tax incentives promise to be large. Both should be a success, if GM doesn't fumble the PR, the lobbying, and most importantly, the timing. I see both cars turning a profit at some point.
  12. No, but I expect it to be substantial. Timing will be the key for both the Volt and the Converj. Unfortunately, timing isn't GM's strong suit.
  13. Sorry to butt in here, but you might want to consider the fact that Alpha is thought to be the platform of choice for the next Camaro. :AH-HA_wink: Carry on.
  14. Get with it guys! This is a great design challenge - rise to it!
  15. If that happens, my current ban on buying GM will become permanent.
  16. OK, we will add "other" as a choice.
  17. OK, I think it's time to turn this into a poll (in a separate thread). I'm going to start the list of nominees, but feel free to add whatever I missed. - You will cave and buy a G8 - Mustang - Challenger - Audi Coupe - Ford truck - Dodge truck - You will compromise your values and buy a Mini - You will cave and buy a Camaro - You will cave and buy a GM truck - BMW 3 series What did I miss?
  18. I'm all for that!
  19. Today I saw the shell of a '55ish GMC pickup on a rollback - it was obviously a work in progress as what was there looked ready for paint. I also saw a circa '71 Sedan Deville in black (clean looking example).
  20. Be careful. I guarantee that this ability of yours will eventually desert you.
  21. Doesn't work around here, unfortunately. Suburbia has created a huge un-huntable zone which the geese now overwhelm. There are so many of them that they are literally poisoning the water supply and causing fishkills while denuding the land of vegetation. The conditions we have atificially created have even changed their nature in that we now have resident populations that no longer migrate. The situation is much the same with deer. Both species are doing major ecological damage and need to be treated as vermin. One way or another, their populations need to be brought down to levels that are in better balance with the local environment. No one seems to like my solutions ( mass exterminations or the re-introduction of predator species), but something needs to be done.
