  1. Those damn things are a curse, incredibly overpopulated. They taste pretty good though. I grew up with a pond in my backyard, so I've dealt with them all of my life. There was a breeding pair that would come every year to nest there. At the time, the population wasn't so massive, so we watched them raise their goslings and saw it as a positive thing that not everyone got to see. One year, a rival pair invaded the pond and a major battle ensued. The ganders fought until the usurper actually knocked our resident gander out cold for a good 20 minutes or so. The pair that had been there for years (seasonally) were driven off and their eggs destroyed. The usurping pair then nested, but failed to take proper care of the eggs which did not survive. They are nasty, if successful, beasts. And, like deer, need to have serious controls placed on their populations as they are an extreme hazard to the environment at this point.
  2. No progress here on this. About to light another one right now...
  3. HBD, NOS!
  4. So, they are wasting Pontiac's money on Saab?

Yup. And I'll take what grins I can at this point.

They are theives, they are slow, you can't trust them. That sums up both ebay and paypal these days.

  8. I'm just evaluating the idea of selling it at this point. No decsion has been made yet, just looking into it.
  9. I like 'em, but then I've developed a serious soft spot for the colonnade cars.
  10. Ran through that real quickly and it looks like GM4life is pretty close to what they say.
  11. No vent windows in this one,Ocn. Only the ones with the third seat option got them after '73 or '74. But yeah, paint is likely to be a must do. As for daily driving, that has to be a truck (at least for now).
  12. You guys know I'm not much of a Buick fan - but I've always made an exception for these boattails. Has to be one of the top ten most creative production bodystyles ever to come out of GM's studios. I'd take mine in '71 trim. Yeah, it's huge, but what lines!
  13. Well, I'm in no way sure that I'm going to try to sell it unfinished, but right now I need to evaluate that possibility. Here are some factoids: - Wagons seem to be kinda hot as collectibles these days (if anything is) - I never intended for it to be a "keeper" - I don't think the documentation of the project so far could be much better. - It is on the road and legal right now - At a guess, I'd say that I still have under 5k in the whole project - but I haven't tallied it up so I could be off. I know that any number would be essentially a guess at this point, but I value everyone's opinion. Satty: Aint gonna happen. XP: that's what I'm trying to figure out.
  14. All the details you could ever want are in the Project car forum.
  15. Sorry I missed your post Cort, the listing expired before I got to see it. Was it a wagon like mine?
  16. You guys watched me build my wagon - so what do you think it's worth as it now sits?
  17. Man, has this thread teetered on the edge....
  18. The moron likely had the truck in 4WD on dry pavement- that is a no-no with any 4x4.
  19. It's time to get real about the regulations: if they do, the industry will not only survive, but thrive.
  20. It is time for the government to take a hard look at how regulations and how they are making the cars fatter. It runs counter to the stated goal of better fuel economy and they really can't have it both ways. I'm for a well thought out rollback of the safety standards that add the most excessive weight to automobiles.
  21. GM is Sooooo lucky I wasn't the winner they had to pay off!
  22. We're hoping to see the 20s today- maybe.
  23. Welcome to the keystone refridgerator!
  24. I've missed your posts, Longtooth. Glad to see that you haven't lost your touch.
