  1. Thanks guys! WMJ: The blue roof is my '79 Jaguar XJ6L XP: The Mothertruck will be the next project if I don't sell it as is first. This session has been a marathon since the beginning of the weekend, and I'm not stopping until it's all back together. I expect to turn the key today. I have some new pics to post shortly, and then I'll be back at it.
  2. Thanks,BP! The plugs were new about 50 miles before the engine was pulled from the Camino - so no need. Good thing too, because the headers make it damn near impossible to get at the plugs!
  3. I had a long update typed but then my power browned-out and I lost it all. So, here's the short version: I am staying on this project until the car is driveable - I just can't stop now! Work and sleep be damned! Here are a few pics (rad support install with new mounts). Lots more to come late tonight or tomorrow.
  4. Thank you !
  5. This is part of what worries me about this deal. I just don't see it working out the way that the Chrysler bailout did a few decades ago.
  6. This policy should have been in place years ago.
  7. Bad wreck. I hope your brother has a speedy recovery - and learns something from the experience. I simply can't imagine falling asleep at the wheel.
  8. I have a bad feeling about this.
  9. I doubt that very much.
  10. Not my thing, but that's a good deal!
  11. Defintely a '75.
  12. This thread is entirely, and completely composed of old BS. What will be, will be. But if Pontiac is starved to death and then killed, it will just be yet another glaring example of bad decision making at GM and the beginning of the end for the entire company.
  13. Last batch: This one is the new rad support mounts, I would have kept going tonight if I didn't have to wait for the paint on these to dry.
  14. It's not running just yet, but it's damn close! Pics:
  15. Not yet. Didn't see the guy on Friday.
  16. I've been in the barn all weekend and I'm going back in a few minutes. There will be pics tomorrow sometime. BTW: I can't really afford to do this, but I'm doing it anyway. If I only did what I could afford to do, I go insane. As for the colonnade cars, I like them more now than I did when they were new. They've grown on me, and judging by the increase in value in the last year and a half or so, they've grown on other people as well. :AH-HA_wink:
  17. A funny thread about banning - imagine that! Never been banned anywhere - only became really angry once on the Firehawk board. And yeah, I hate to ban people as well - but some folks just force your hand.
  18. Happy Birthday, Ven!
  19. Obscene thought.
  20. Which end of the car might be driving the wheels has nothing to do with Chrysler's predicament.
  21. OK, OK, I now have two forums unanimously telling me to take the car. I should see the guy who made the offer tomorrow - I'll take the car if the offer still stands. I'll figure out what to do with it later. Trauma: Western Philly burbs.
  22. Waaay to soon to make such a determination - at least one that uses anything resembling logic. Only a political decision could be so dense.
  23. Great smiley useage there, Ocn!
  24. Saw it clearly, and I'm fairly sure it was a '75. I just don't remember the rear of the '74s clearly - so I might be wrong. I'm basing my ID of it as a '75 on three things: 1) it has the big shock absorber rear bumper 2) it has the tailights with the top "section" blank (body color) 3) it has the front marker lights stacked in the side of the front fender extensions (you can see them from the side and they are two small rectangular lenses) How'd I do?
