  1. No, but it does mean that I'm thinking about it in a serious way. :AH-HA_wink:
  2. I just spent the last few hours searching for likely drivetrains...
  3. That's a thought.
  4. The other day I was offered a free car. It's an '84 Camaro, all that I know about it is that it was a V6 car that is now "set-up" for a V8 and that it is in "decent" shape. I'm pretty lukewarm to the idea because it is a V6 car which limits my legal options about what I can do with it. I may investigate a bit more, but I'm not sure I want to bother with such a car. Thoughts?
  5. I should have some more "pick-me-ups" for you shortly. :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Glad to hear it!
  7. Insufficient data to give a meaningful response.
  8. I was pushing for the big block crate motor, but I got shot down.
  9. Another mini-update: I now have the correct A/C box on its way from Arizona. And today, I went on a run for some odds and ends I need to get this thing back together. I also ordered new grommets for the valve covers and a new oil filler cap from GM. The nights are getting quite cold now, so I've decided to plunge into this project for the balance of this week and hope to have the car running by Sunday if the A/C box shows up in time. Stay tuned.
  10. At the GM Nationals (in June, I think).
  11. It's a great idea and I wish they'd do this for other enthusiast cars as well.
  12. There was at least one Monte there, I never got to see it up close because it left before I could. Looked very clean from a distance. I never saw the front, but it was either a '74 or a '75. There was also a Laguna there, and that was it for Colonnades.
  13. How much did PCS pay you,Reg?
  14. The odd proportions hurt the design, much like a Ferrari Mondial.
  15. Rt1 is a few miles south of me, and The Lincoln Highway (Rt. 30) is a few miles north. My Grandmother and other locals would often refer to Rt30 as "The Highway" and I remember her telling me about when it went in. It is also called Lancaster Avenue here ( and all the way into Philly). When "The Highway" went in, a section of the old road became "Old Lancaster" and only runs from Paoli to neighboring Berwyn today. I forgot that I knew all of that!
  16. I wonder if a black-tinted clear would make those rims look like the "black chrome" finish BMW has used on some "M" wheels... I think that would look incredible. As for the spoiler, just like the GTO before it, this car will look better with it deleted. Post some updated pics when you do the mods.
  17. I agree,68. I never thought I'd say anything nice about a G5, but that car looks really, really, good! Very nice job: tasteful and appropriate mods.
  18. Now about that ST version...
  19. I wish I had had time to take more pics, such amazing cars at that show.
  20. Yeah, the FART thing cracked me up. I can't belive that 68 hasn't found this thread (or discovered some of the details you'd see in expanded pics) yet.

  22. http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=636733 Check it out.
  23. Hah! Me too! But mine would be "private" and under roof.
  24. I may have found the answer to my problem with a lack of good junkyards around here. I used junkyarddog.com today. I filled out the form and in a few hours had two positive responses from yards that say they have the part I need. I'll post how it turns out.
  25. Glad you liked it!
