  1. Trust yourself.
  2. Yup! Thought of that too. There are a couple of problems there. One, the walls are 18-24" of stone. Two, I already have two industrial heaters (the kind that hang from the ceiling) and the cost to have them installed and getting a tank to feed them makes more sense than a pellet stove which would have a hard time heating such a large, open, space.
  3. I've thought of that as well, I have two woodburning stoves but the chimney would have to be higher than the peak of the roof which would be way too expensive. Believe me, I've looked at all the options.
  4. Not sure exactly what you are trying to say here, but I am in no way advocating kicking the volume customer - I am just saying not to ignore the enthusiast or those that simply want something more than a mundane volume product.
  5. They are. It appears that a manual will only be offered in the GXP (at least initially). And yes, the GXP will also offer a wussimatic. :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Yeah, but the barn is quite big, and without a serious heater (or heaters) it stays cold. I have tried the space heater/kerosene heater approach without success. Hopefully, by next winter I will have installed 2 huge industrial gas heaters and won't lose my winter project time anymore.
  7. Biggest market? Sure, but not the only market. Some of us require better.
  8. It would be. But the wussies within GM are too powerful.
  9. This car should be built, and it should be sold here - even if it is only for a short time. A brief shot of desireable models is even more important now that CAFE is coming with its attendant, boring, FWD crap. We should have a day in the sun of beautiful, desireable cars before the dark clouds obscure it all again. Quit screwing around GM, and bring us these cars while you can!

Nice car. I'd enjoy having a car like this with a 4spd.
  11. Early 70's Cutlass convertible this morning - with the top down! A Zo6 that ran up this highway side by side with me in the Silverado - sounded like heaven. Two black Chevy beasts making a charge - very cool, made me smile. An older all black Mustang 5.0 LX with Pony wheels and a healthy cam - sounded great and had just come out of winter hibernation.
  12. Nah, been too cold in the barn, but soon... very soon. :AH-HA_wink:
  13. If it weren't for the G8 ST, this would be my next car - period.
  14. Either that, or I joined at the end of 2000. I'm lousy with dates.
  15. Hmm, V8 conversion, nice wheels, killer paint... Nah! Actually though, that thing almost looks factory.
  16. Next year, I should have mine ready for the show.
  17. Hopefully, I'll have the wagon on the road by then. If not I'll just clean up the Silverado.
  18. I belive it is in June, but I'll have to check on the dates. Expect some official C&G info. on this soon.
  19. Well O.C., I 'd like to echo all of the sentiments above. You and I have locked horns a time or two (okay, maybe more than two), but I have always considered you to be a positive part of C&G. You bring a level of professional input to the site that is essential to quality debate. I joined C&G at the very end of 2001, as member #15 (or thereabouts). It amazes me not only that it has become such a huge part of my life, but that the site has attracted and maintained such a loyal group for whom this place has really become our home on the internet. The fact that C&G is still here after all that time is really amazing, and the reason is the membership and the very real sense of community we have developed here. So no, O.C., you are not alone in how you feel about this place. As for a meet, we are planning on getting as many of us together as we can for the All GM Nationals in Carlisle this year. I can't think of a more natural venue for a gathering of the C&G family and our cars.
  20. Can't wait to see "em, NOS!
  21. The article states that Alpha is being developed in Germany. First I've heard of this, and I have my doubts.
  22. Sadly no, most people (even those who should know better) have very outdated information. The problem is, many of the folks in the media perpetuate the outdated information through their own ignorance. They then recycle it creating confusion and doubt where enthusiasm and support should be,
  23. The way the Mustang's windshield frame folds down on the driver is disturbing. If it weren't for that issue, I'd feel safest in the Mustang.
