  1. My Firehawk hits ebay at midnight.
  2. I'm kinda liking this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-Chevro...1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. Yeah, saw a nice older one in a local car rag. Pre-vortec TBI though.
  4. You know, it could even be something weird. Like say, an '83 Cutlass wagon with an LS1 conversion. Just thinking out loud. :AH-HA_wink:
  5. I guess I should have laid out the parameters a bit better. I don't want anything new or newish, no FWD, no sedans. V8 power required - I'm more concerned with purchase/project price than I am with operating expenses. This will be an occasional cruiser, not a daily driver. But, it has to be interesting in some way. I guess I'm just sifting through the last 40+ years of cars to see what catches my eye. I'd like to keep it simple, so no orphans (Studebaker,AMC...) and with good parts availability (GM most likely). I'd also like to have a big block V8, but maybe in an unconventional (non-musclecar) application. If something else that doesn't follow the rules hits me right, I think I can be flexible.
  6. I know I'm getting ahead of things, but I can't help thinking about the next "toy" I'll get after the Hawk is gone. Station wagon, 2-door Tahoe, El Camino... I'd really like to find something interesting and low-buck, you know, guilt-free cool. I really want to pump up the fun-per-dollar factor this go round. It could be a get in and drive cruiser, a project, even a curiosity. I just want something I can enjoy without breaking the bank. And, I'd like to be able to haul the pups around in it without worrying about them trashing it.
  7. Lighten-up guys, the 4th only comes once a year. Fireworks are fun.
  8. Thanks, Zhawk. I wish I understood how I let this happen.
  9. Good night last night, and a good day today. I hope both of my "Birthday Brothers" had a good one as well. Thanks everyone, for the good wishes(in both threads).
  10. Some tempting offers, but I think I'll see what sort of cash ebay can get me. :AH-HA_wink:
  11. Thanks guys!
  12. I had to vote "other" as I hate heat and humidity. I can tolerate it since I've spent so much time out in it, but it makes me very grouchy. Give me a day in the 70s with low humidity any time. Summer is my least favorite season.
  13. I hit the bars w/ BBL last night and slept in this morning. Planning on some King crab for dinner.
  14. The only screening will be via a high reserve price. :AH-HA_wink:
  15. In a stunning gamble, Honda introduces the new PUG cute ute to replace the CRV. But, will you feel sorry enough for it to take it home?
  16. I thought this deserved a posting in this thread.
  17. The Hawks and the Hawk stuff will start hitting ebay right after the holiday. Piece by piece.
  18. Congrats,Walt. Sorry about the Z/28, be sure to post pics of it when it hits the market.
  19. I think that's what is meant by the term "unholy union".
  20. That race isn't over. :AH-HA_wink:
  21. I've thought it over and as of today I have to give DCX the nod.
  22. Wow
  23. If it weren't for Bangle, a GM/BMW cooperative agreement could be interesting.
  24. "Insufficient data to give a meaningful response."
  25. A few years ago this would have been easy. Now, however, I don't think I can vote. If BMW still built the pre-Bangle cars that would be my easy answer. Now? I just don't know. BTW: I saw a Quattroporte glide by today while I was getting my lunch. And I have a Maserati in the garage so... Eh, nevermind.
