Keeping the name Malibu is fine. It has been a reliable vehicle and scored high in dependability studies, so I think it as a decent reputation in that regard. Also, as Cadillacfan said, look at the Altima's turnaround.

Well since the Crew Cabs are the only models that our out, it would make since that there the only ones you see advertised.

Link? This is interesting. Maybe Chrysler thought it wouldn't have a chance against the Lambdas and NG Pilot, Highlander, etc. When is the Pacifica scheduled to end production? This would be great for the Enclave, even though there would be no reason to buy a Pacifica over an Enclave except price.

I'm pretty sure they did the STS-V interior too (the upgraded areas) and maybe the upgraded areas for the XLR-V too. Anyways, do you know what you'll be working on yet or do they not tell you until you get there (meaning are you designing parts for the interior or doing something for manufacturing, etc).

I think they want some diesel technology out of this, though if they really need it that badly they're going to be pretty far behind on the diesel front in trucks I would think.

I don't think the Tundra will take hardly any share from the GM trucks. I see the Ram and mostly the Titan suffering the most, with the GM trucks suffering the least.

Fair enough, though we have found that the FWD Northstar only makes 292HP, and I've seen some mags state that they feel like the RWD Northstar has more than 320HP, so we may be looking at a 30-40HP gain. When the RWD Northstar came out it was at or near the top of its class, it just so happens that GM has neglected to update it any further. Don't rag on the update for the FWD to RWD conversion because it was totally competitive, but you can rag on GM for not updating it for the past 3 or so years.

In the CTS-V I know that if you depress the parking brake ever so slightly so that it doesn't actually do anything that it will play movies or whatever while driving, but I doubt that would work in a Deville because you'd have to confuse it into being in park.

You should be able to find a pretty good deal on a used one. The LaCrosse isn't a bad car, it's just not my style. I would go for the Aura or G6 over it, but they're both smaller and if you want the 3800, well, you can't get it in either.

The mags can rip it all they want. The question that needs to be asked is whether the people who are actually going to buy the truck are going to care if the mag rips it because of that. So many of them have gotten great use out of the 4-speed for years they might feel more comfortable with it than the 6-speed. But who knows, we'll find out... I heard 2008 MY was the last year for the 4-speed, at least in the trucks. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised to see it stick around in some cars (Cobalt, lower-level Epsilons) past then.

I'm sure they did. Isn't that package like $50k? They probably gave it new heads, cam, etc. as well.

The Sierra looks great in these real-world pics. The Silverado my dealership had also looked very good, though I like the GMC more. That "sport" (or whatever it is) Tundra looks terrible.

The only reason the Taurus sells so well is because it's like 95% fleet sales. Go look on your dealer's lot and see if they actually have a Taurus, I would guess many of them don't.

40-60hrs a week is ridiculous while being a full time student. How do you have time to do anything else or ever study?
