  1. Can't tell much from that single shot, but it looks pretty aggressive-looking based on the stance, at least. Some of the comments on autoblog are ridiculous: Copying the next-gen IS350 that hasn't even come out yet?
  2. I saw that, and couldn't figure out how MT would let that be the letter of the month. He said they were fuel suckers, yet his beloved Pilot gets worse MPG. I think I'll write MT asking them how they could let a letter that's based on nothing factual be published at all. BTW, I just saw a dark blue Acadia, it was beautiful.
  3. Lambda is successful because it has no glaring weakenesses (perhaps weight, but these are big vehicles) and it does everything well. They're vehicles that GM went the whole 9 yards on, and didn't cheap out on anything. On top of that they are arguably the best-looking crossovers out there (at least of their size).
  4. An Acadia in moonstone. Looked fantastic. Also saw a V6 Mustang with dual exhausts and big tips as well as a GT emblem on the back that was crooked driving like an idiot. I wish I was driving next to him in the GTO so I could teach him a thing or two.
  5. The GTO did not sell bad for it's price and market. The market for a RWD V8 coupe is not very big. As for the G8, I have no problem if someone would like it to look a bit more aggressive or different; what I have a problem with is people who say it's ugly and/or bland. It's not; it's stylish and has good lines throughout.
  6. caddy: I didn't know you're an ME major, me too! Where are you going to school?
  7. Right now I'm only taking 15 hours of credit but I always have something to do. Engineering sucks like that because you have way more hours of class than you get credit for. I have 24 hours of school during the week (9 more than I get "credit" for). Let's see what I've done so far this week... Monday - 5 hours of Calc, 1 hour of Physics Tues - 2 hours of Chem Wed - 2 hours of Chem Today - probably 2-3 hours of Chem
  8. Aren't they building a plant in Asia somewhere?
  9. I don't remember exactly, but wasn't the GTO something like $50k US when converted from AU to US dollars?
  10. I had a stone chip fixed under insurance (unfortunately it is still rather visible, though I don't think it's expanding). Didn't raise rates at all. I really doubt they're going to raise your rates over $70.
  11. There's no way this Park Ave would cost mid 30's. Definitely over $40k. The G8 is going to be mid 30s with the V8 (which is what most of us would want in the Park Ave, I think) and it doesn't have NAV, massaging seats, all the wood and other luxurious appointments, etc. That adds at least $7-8k, I think. Plus it's bigger to begin with. There no way this would come in under $40k with everything it has. De-content it and you might have a base price around $32k.I think it's very apparent that this would be above the Lucerne, and that goes up to $41k loaded up, and doesn't have massaging seats and doesn't look nearly as nice as the rest of the Park Ave. The model you see in the pictures is a $45k car at least, no doubt. It has more features, a nicer interior, and is on a more expensive platform than the DTS, which goes up to $55k. This car pictured for $35k is a pipe dream.
  12. Are some of the 3.5s in the XE FlexFuel engines (I don't think they are but I could be wrong0? Maybe that's what the difference is, or it could have been re-adjusted. You should wait for the XE Special Edition (it's posted in the Saturn section) I think, unless you just want a basic model.
  13. Interior reminds me of the outgoing VUE a bit. Exterior is terrible.
  14. That's all well and good, but they should have had it from the start.
  15. Not really. The only upgraded that is worth note is the door handles. The door panels are not upgraded by adding different colors of plastic or painted plastic because it's still the same crappy plastic (the only upgrade would be if it looks better, which i does, but it still does nothing to make it feel better), and the console and dash were not upgraded at all. This looks much better than the other photo posted before. It still is nothing to gawk at, but it looks much better. I don't believe I've ever sat in an Xterra, so I can''t compare the materials to that in the Nitro/Liberty.
  16. The center stack looks the same to me other than the part by the NAV screen. The steering wheel is slightly different, though not much... we should wait for better pics to see what all is changed, and wait to sit in it to see how "soft touch" the dash is.
  17. The upper level one looks like it's worth maybe $75 more than the base one. It looks better, but changing trim pieces such as the door handle to metal, adding painted silver plastic inserts on the door, upgrading the steering wheel's material and adding steering wheel controls does not make the interior go from crap to "quite nice." It makes it go from crap to "crap +" It still has the same crappy plastics all over the place, same ugly design, but at a much higher price for something you could add to the base model (other than the steering wheel controls) for $50 from the aftermarket.
  18. No. I don't drive much right now but when I do drive I realize that the GTO is going to get 13 MPG if I drive hard, 14 MPG if I drive regular, and 15 MPG if I drive like a grandma (all in-town), so it doesn't make much of a difference.
  19. So they flattened out the rounded area above the NAV and called it a day, or so it appears?
  20. What's wrong with this being the 2008 Lucerne replacement?
  21. Where are these hard-looking plastics and low-grade materials you speak of?
  22. It's either time for the Lucerne to be replaced (by this) or the Park Avenue to return. Buick needs a car like this if it wants to move upscale. The details sound amazing.
  23. I think the Lucerne is ready for replacement... this looks fantastic.
  24. Do I need to have my reading comprehension skills checked? Pontiac = performance, performance =/= FWD. Most current Pontiacs are FWD. I don't think it matters when I was born to understand the simple equation. My car is very much a modern-day interpretation of your car. Both V8, both RWD, 2-door coupes... I will enjoy my Holden, because it's better than anything Pontiac has made, and more of a Pontiac than anything Pontiac has made recently.
  25. Both of them looks equally crappy to me. Comparing a bad interior to another bad interior does not make one of them any worse. The Xterra looks way better in this picture (not that nasty brown): Is it good? No, but it's not the color of crap. What CSpec said. He compared a crappy interior to another crappy interior. Doing so does not make one of them any less crappy.
