  1. With economy at the top of my priorities list and smoothness being at the top of I don't know the meaning of list, I'd go for the 3 cylinder.
  2. It was about 70 and overcast all day here. Perfect day for the Newton Falls car show.
  3. I don't think updating a retro design like the HHR or PT would be as hard as everyone seems to think. They're both already very basic interpretations of late pre-war/early post-war car design. When they debuted Chevy and Chrysler both had much softer, rounded design languages. They have since evolved to become much sharper and tauter. The new themes could easily be applied to the existing retro shapes of the cars.
  4. :/ I obviously didn't participate in that survey.
  5. The Eagles - Journey of the Sorcerer Was used in various arrangements as the theme for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio show, TV show, and movie.
  6. What am I doing wrong
  7. White 1st gen Corvair convertible New Camaro with billet grille 9.9 First new Civic sedan. Subtle, but better proportioned than the older one. No it doesn't ride a foot off the ground.
  8. How do you embed video?
  9. I agree. If I were to get a new XJ I'd have to pay extra to have someone paint the D-pillars body color.
  10. White/maroon AMC Eagle sedan at school <3 Neighbor just got a white VW Thing.
  11. 2-wheeler and fuel-efficiency guru Craig Vetter has a proposal for what he calls "freedom machines" Basically an alternative class of 2-4 wheeled vehicles like cyclecars that would have to get 100 mpg highway but would be free from most crash and safety regulations so they could be as simple and light as possible. I think in the US 3-wheeled cars are still classified as motorcycles so I can see them becoming somewhat popular as high-mileage car alternatives.
  12. With the about of crap our politicians are full of, we could end world hunger.
  13. Astronauts already drink their own reclaimed bodily fluids. This wouldn't be too much of a leap for them. Would be very useful for deep space missions. I don't think I'd eat it though.
  14. Gray '66 Ford Fairlane GTA
  15. Happeh Birthdeh
  16. '70 (Cutlass/Impala?) sedan, metallic green, black vinyl roof with a large /26"/ embossed on the c-pillar, probably referring to the size of its wheels. Seconds later: an early '80s Eighty-Eight sedan, bright yellow, with Juicy Fruit graphics on the side. I'm not sure what to make of this new trend. It's like the automotive equivalent of retro logo t-shirts. Later down the road was an olive green/black vinyl '67-8 Coupe de Ville that had mercifully not been donked.
  17. The excessive weight that goes along with safety mandates are part of why alternatives propulsion methods are being pushed so heavily.
  18. The Jettas priced that low are complete stripper models without even radio or air conditioning. We had a whole thread on that. I don't get why the hatchback is more expensive than the sedan though.
  19. There was a time when cars like this started under $2000 brand new. Wouldn't it be nice if things were back to the way there were then?
  20. Mint green early '80s Bonneville with Kool-Aid graphics on the side. Light blue '67-'68 (?) Buick Electra convertible More and more CTS coupes.
