  1. Our neighbors have had an Escape for years, and considering the rate at which they typically buy and sell cars, they are quite happy with it. I really didn't like anything about the HHR, so the Escape is an improvement in pretty much every way in my eyes. The seats are much more comfortable both in shape and position even though they're cloth. It has much better backseat legroom. Visibility is positively panoramic compared the Hurrr. It seems to have adequate grunt, and is getting better gas mileage than the HHR right off the bat. It's not the most exciting car, but we should be much happier with it.
  2. Eh, no thank you. Looks too much like the original SRX, which I don't like either. The current wagon is a much more dynamic and refined design.
  3. Today was my parents' 23rd anniversary so they went out to have a nice day for themselves. Since the HHR has continued to develop more mysterious unhealthy noises, they had been thinking about potential replacements, with a Focus hatchback high on the list. So during their driving about they stopped at a Ford dealer just to look around. The dealer had no Focii in stock and did not know when they would get any more, so my parents test drove a couple others, an Escape and an Edge. Long story short, they promptly traded the HHR for a black 2012 Ford Escape.
  4. What spy shots are you referring to?
  5. If I had the chance to only own one cadillac my entire life, it'd be one of these, no question. Though I agree with smk that $25k does seem a bit much.
  6. I thought about doing a photochop of it, but I just can't bring myself to create even a digital depiction of such an abomination.
  7. I wonder what the power-to-weight ratio is.
  8. Samsung Rant. My sister bought it from he friend for ten bucks. When she upgraded to a Blackberry Curve she gave it to me. It's been perfectly adequate and very reliable for me (unlike my sister's Curve). Comfortable size, nice keyboard, calls, texts, pics and videos, can do rudimentary emergency web surfing. It's easy to pocket dial though if I'm not careful. Our home phones are connected by a traditional land line.
  9. Does that have chrome around the door edges? I hate when people do that.

  11. There should be a bone stock car series-- teams have to buy the lowest entry level model straight off the lot and aren't allowed to modify it.

  15. I agree Dodgefan. I think Eagle perfected all the elements of the original that haven't aged so well.
  16. Our well water is pretty hard and not very nice tasting, so we have a water cooler and four 5-gallon jugs which we refill at Cortland Sparkle market for 25¢ a gallon. We don't do well stocking up. Stuff always gets shoved into a dusty corner of a cupboard or the fridge and forgotten about until it's gone bad.
  17. We haven't done gotten much better than mid-20s in ours, and we're not exactly drivers. If you need the cargo space it's okay, but no way it's gonna get mid-30s mileage.
  18. My dad and I think our HHR would look better with woodgrain, but my mom won't go for it. At any rate it's becoming tiresome.
