  1. It's not a myth, it's an elementary aerodynamic principle. Those are indeed impressive drag figures, and they've no doubt used lots of clever clean aero detailing to achieve them, but with a properly designed fastback roof they would be even lower.
  2. The term "4-door coupe" is overplayed, but the style is not. Faster rooflines are becoming the norm. As automakers try to eke better gas mileage out of their sedans, they have to make them more aerodynamic, and the traditional 3-box shape just isn't.
  3. If American buyers would stop being so prejudiced against liftbacks then trunk openings wouldn't be a problem at all.
  4. Good. The current Malibu is just awkward all over. dfelt, what are you doing sitting in the backseat anyway? If you've got a family, that's where your kids should sit, and they don't need a mile of headroom.
  5. Two red cars: a lowered Studebaker pickup and a Ford Maverick coupe.
  6. Black Nissan GT-R drove past me as i was walking home from today.
  7. Red '69-'70 Cadillac Coupe de Ville convertible Black '73 Malibu Both in very good condition.
  8. Figured out that that sedan I saw the other day was a '73 Dodge Dart.
  9. Blue Alfa Romeo Series 3 Spider Late '30s Dodge pickup, candy red with black bed A sedan I couldn't quite identify... early '70s compact, pre-5mph bumpers, wide grille, quad round headlights, slight curves.
  10. I was thinking it would be cool to bring back the chevron for the V-series cars.
  11. It's far from the first time the Cadillac badge has gone wreathless. It's been squashed and stretched and stylized so much over the decades, this one's far from radical. I think it's a decent refreshment, helps emphasize the width of the cars. I like the coupe's front fascia, but I think it would be better if the sedan kept its own to differentiate them a little more.
  12. Do you know what the cute ute is, Drew? Weird to see that Park Avenue too, I never knew it was sold overseas. Today I saw a maroon '68 Impala convertible. Was a beautiful day for a top down cruise.
  13. I saw an unusual number of orange cars out today, notably among them: a classic Mini Cooper, orange with white stripes a new Mini Cooper, orange with black stripes an orange '80s Dodge Charger or Plymouth Turismo a white '60s Chevy truck with an orange hood
  14. 2-tone green early '70s Ford van like the one Balthazar mentioned in his Van-go thread.
