  1. It was kinda cool to watch, however, I can't imagine being on a plane that would make an emergency landing!
  2. I still have yet to figure out how I did it in a 1987 Sundance in the front seats... and I'm 6'3"!
  3. Can't we all just get along? :P I mean, although the STS has a slightly blander interior (which I actually prefer), I still feel the quality is comparable.
  4. It kills me to know it's gone. I would have much preferred LeSabre to Lucerne!
  5. Nope... I'm afraid I'm already too far in "like" to turn around.
  6. I said it before, and I'll say it again: I do not like minivans or wagons. I have always thought and will continue to think, they're ugly as sin. This doesn't change a thing--granted I feel it's better-looking than the Terazza.
  7. Oh that's right... I forgot it was the older generation. Didn't realize his was the 4 though.
  8. UGH... and I got the proposition to come over and have some "fun"... but that was it. No getting into a relationship... he just wanted some fun with me.
  9. Okay, so I figured I'd put it in here... saw a car yesterday--NO idea what it was. I am really good with telling cars from their brake lights in the dark, but this was daytime, and I hadn't a clue. It was a wagon, sleek, rounded back (like instead of having a vertical rear window, it was angled in).. it was kinda like the color of the LaCrosse's Cardinal Red Metallic... the directionals were amber - I'm just trying to give you as much detail as I can. The logo was chrome, about the size of the dodge logo. If it wasn't going like 100 on the LIE, then I might have had a chance seeing what it was. Any ideas?
  10. Yeah... YEAH!!! Pleeeease? I'll be your best friend!
  11. See, I hope GM replaces the Ion name... if they go and replace such wonderful names as LeSabre and plan to replace Rendezvous when both had such a wonderful standing... I would hope they'd replace Ion, a car that has gotten nothing but crappy reviews from its crappy quality in the past. As for what the new car is based on the image, I haven't a clue. It's just not enough for me to speculate.
  12. Okay, since we're on the topic of dogs, what do you do when your dog is climbing over a 6-foot stockade fence... and they're just running up it--it's not like there's anything nearby they can jump on and over with... Max is scaling our 6-foot fence. We found the scratch marks all over the fence, and there's a bush he must be landing in when he jumps over. I swear, that dog is going to get himself killed one day. He loves cars--but doesn't quite understand that they won't all stop and let him in for a ride. Dumbass.
  13. Awww... RBB, they're cute! :)
  14. That's not only the Century--I believe it's all cars with that body style/engine. I had a friend with an Olds (can't remember which one), same exact prob. (oh, and pardon my ignorance if I'm completely wrong on the whole topic of A-Bodies and such in this time period--I didn't really get into cars until the mid-90's, so all this info is still fuzzy to me). Now, my Century has the 3300... and surprisingly, without the a/c on, the 13-year old engine is super-smooth at 80-85 (not that I do it often, I just noticed it today when I didn't pay attention to how fast I was going). Now, not to take away from the point of this thread, but can anyone explain to me why (and it's been since I've gotten the car at 38,500 miles), I get a rough feeling under the brake pedal when braking and the engine downshifts into first? No matter how gentle I am, I still feel this. Is it common? But the 3100 is a great engine... I know TONS of people who have or have had cars with it and they've never had a problem--clearn into 150,000 miles. But the rest of the cars fell apart around the engines, so they got rid of them.
  15. What are you kidding? Don't you remember Rosario's?
  16. Well, I am open to new experiences... I met someone online that lives not too far from me, who is into this gay car group (yeah, I couldn't believe they had one), and he wants me to go with him to a meeting. Watch it really be an undercover place that's trying to convert gays LOL As for bars, well, one of my gripes was that they were too smokey, but I guess with all the new laws, that's not an issue anymore. Still, I dunno. I think I'm going to take a break from meeting anyone right now and just concentrate on myself physically and mentally. That's what John is going to do right now... and hey, if we can build a great friendship first, I'd love that as a base for any relationship--not to say that anything would ever happen--but after yesterday's talk, unfortunately, my hopes are up a little. :( I just don't want to get hurt.
  17. Ugh. There's a time and place for everything--people shouldn't do it at work! Did you let him down gently? LOL
  18. You know what sucks? I have ALL straight friends... don't like clubs, bars, etc... did them bored of them, don't like the guys that come out of them. How to meet a man? I don't wear a little rainbow pin so I'm not too obvious LOL Who knows... he has a few gay friends--maybe he'll hook me up with one--of course, all the while I'll be looking at him :(
  19. Yeah, but he knows that I couldn't do that--if we got physical, we'd have to get emotional too.
  20. It did until now. I had the most incredible weekend with him. Yet, I have NO idea what it all means. We talked like crazy last night and today... and things were said, and from what happened, I could honestly believe that he really likes me as a friend--a "life long" friend as he put it, but would (pardon for my lack of Jewish knowledge) schtoop me too. Arg... SO confusing.
  21. Wow, now that's the way companies should be. I mean, that type of stuff would something my parents would say to me about the "olden days"... like "When I was your age, you'd go to the butcher, and you'd pick up some ground beef, and they'd throw in a few pounds of spare ribs for free." Companies who do that win me over.
  22. Actually, the name stands for something--I just can't remember what. Help here?
  23. In high gear? I have 4. Just four. Oh wait, even though my car is 13 years old, it still has the same number of gears as do many current GM products ;)
  24. I really like this thing :)
  25. I love the beige interior offered on the Torrent. I wish they had a 200hp engine standard--and if I was in the market for a small SUV, I would totally consider it.
