  1. Hmm....good question. Can't think of any. Remember the mid '90s when teal and forest green were everywhere?
  2. Speaking of fries, any fans of poutine or steak frites? Both can be quite tasty, IMHO.
  3. The Lucerne isn't bad looking, but I think the Park Avenue was a better looking car...it had more Buick styling cues, and nice curvy Riviera-eque rear quarters..
  4. In and Out They are in 4 Western states only, apparently (CA, AZ, NV, UT). Another favorite burger chain that I like (no drive thru, though) is Fatburger. Another fast food chain (no drive thru) I like a lot is L&L Hawaiian Barbeque...they are 10 states now, I remember when they were only in Hawaii (like Zippys).
  5. Ok...so what is going to become of the next Impala, Lucerne, and DTS? More FWD generics? Boring.
  6. For burgers, I like In and Out...I also like Jack in the Box (In and Out has a neat animation intro page on their website with a lot of '60s Dodge Darts and '50s Ford trucks going thru their drive thru).
  7. IIRC, some teams ran the Olds 88 also...Cale Yarbourough's Hardees car was an 88, IIRC. When NASCAR went to the FWD car bodystyles over the fake RWD chassis was about the time I stopped watching NASCAR.
  8. I found the GTO and ZR1 at Target Friday...both very nicely done.
  9. I don't think I've ever seen one of those, other than that magazine ad back in the day. I do remember the Le Sabre T-Types, though.
  10. Yes, it gives it the look of a road going version of a DTM race car.
  11. Yeah, it was a luxury car thing then, though...in '68, probably very few Chevys had them. I haven't had a car with manual windows in over 20 years, never had a problem with power windows.
  12. That's a CLK AMG Black Series...it's one supremely badass car. I saw one at the post office a few weeks ago...they look incredible in person, sound incredible also.
  13. Well, it was 1968..I think most cars still had manual windows 40 years ago.
  14. Apparently the Tosca/Epica has a transverse straight-six...strange. Epica article on Wikipedia
  15. Sweet...I love those big old ragtops...my favorites being the '71-73 or so B-bodies.
  16. Yeah, I esp. like the boattails and the '71-72 GP...fantastically sculptured cars, IMHO.
  17. Yeah, I love the old Mopies...I like the '65 Satellite and Coronet hts also...they had a great roofline. Mopars are kind of the fundamental muscle cars to me, from the 426 wedges to the Hemis and 440 Magnums...they always had a badass quality to them. For vintage GMs, I love the land yachts and luxury cars more than the muscle cars, I think....perfection in the '63 Rivi, '66 Rivi, '71 Rivi, '67 Eldorado, '66 Toronado, '62-64 Grand Prix, '69-72 Grand Prix, etc...
  18. There was a thread somewhere where we were discussing the color palette for the new Camaro, can't find it now. Anyhoo, I saw a color today that would be my #1 choice to add to the palette--it's a metallic bright medium green on a '05 or so Bonneville. Beautiful color. I love greens.
  19. Hopefully so...I'm wondering if they will bring a smaller to the US in the next few years, like the Polo or Fox.
  20. True enough... speaking of HS, I went to my 20th reunion last weekend..it was interesting to see how the hotties from 1988 look now.. some are not so hot, some are MILFs and DMILFs..
  21. Some nice numbers there...unfortunately, in the US the Golf/aka Rabbit is available only with a 2.5L 5 cyl. I wonder why they don't sell 4cyl versions in the US anymore.
  22. Ultimately, arguing trivia about cars from nearly 40 years ago is pointless and futile. By the way, the Challenger in Vanishing Point is a '70.
  23. The truth is out there. I want to believe.
  24. I don't follow your logic here...the E90 is not an updated E46, so the body shells for the E90 are not updated E46 shells, they were new development. You guys are arguing trivial points. Remember, BMW is a small company with a focused lineup. Besides Cadillac, GM has to spread it's resources across making FWD generics and trucks and SUVs as well...so they are going to be moving a bit slower.
  25. I think what's happened is that in modern times the far right---the fascist, intolerant, racist, social conservative evangelical side of the party has come to dominate it.
