I have been digging this site lately ...
On a similar theme, here's a site about the mysterious Winding Staircase Road outside Port Washington, Ohio... my Mom lives about a mile from this road, and I used to drive on often about 20 years ago... it's closed to thru traffic now. There was a murder that took place there in the '80s that was never solved. Winding StaIrcase Road

Spied! Subaru's new RWD coupe
Hmmm...but the Impreza was a FWD/AWD car...it's not a 30-50yr old RWD, BOF, hardtop with a carburated v8...how could you possibly say anything nice about it?

Dear Audi...
WOW..quite a change from an old Caprice that I thought was your ride. The S5 is an incredible car...I'd go for it. I love Audis.

GM announces big changes to deal with higher gas prices
I can see them continuing to offer the Suburban and other large SUVs...I can see these models returning to their 1970s market place--commercial use and use by people that really need them---people that tow travel trailers, boats, horse trailers, etc...not general purpose family wagons as they currently are.

GM's U.S. market share dips under 20%
No suprise...this was inevitable given the market forces at work.

I am gonna blow... This is one of hell'uva a RANT!
I know quite a few 100k+ earners as well...and I'm one of them. We work hard for the money and many of us know how to manage our money. Reg's comments seem like sour grapes or class envy from someone who isn't making the bank they felt they were entitled to. And $100k or so isn't remotely rich, it's upper middle class... mildly affluent.

GM Officially Cancels Zeta Buick
FWD for the mass market, RWD for luxury and performance. That's the way it's been for a while, and will likely continue.. the vast majority of drivers don't care how a car handles, a FWD generic is fine for them.

Who wants to see the 2010 Lacrosse interior?
Similiar...lots of differences in the details, though..
-
Who wants to see the 2010 Equinox interior?
Interesting..I see they copied the wierd inward-tilted gauge surrounds from M-B and Audi...not bad, but way too much gray plastic.

WSJ: GM Shifts Its Strategy Into Reverse
Weren't the Zetas delayed to get the 900s to market sooner? Of course, with conditions now, the spending on the 900s seems like a collosal waste of time, what with 5000-6000lb SUVs and trucks out of fashion...

May 2008 Sales: American Honda Motor
Yes, I drove an '08 Jetta rental around Cincinatti and Dayton in March...pretty comfortable and smooth, great ergonomics.
-
May 2008 Sales: American Honda Motor
I think if I were to seriously consider a compact for a commuter car, the Civic Hybrid would be at the top of the list, along with the Jetta diesel.. I've ridden in the current style Civics, they are quite nice.

May 2008 Sales: American Honda Motor
Not me...we have Mexicans for fast-food jobs here. (reality in AZ and CO).

Chevrolet Camaro One More Step Closer
Those are only available as hardtops, though.. no 'b-pillar option'. I rarely ever see them with all the windows down, though...with A/C, that's a rarity.

Vauxhall Astra VXR mk 6
The VXR would make a nice addition to the Saturn Astra line in NA, I think..
-
May 2008 Sales: American Honda Motor
The Lancer is also rather ugly and plain inside and out....the Civic looks slick and modern inside and out...too bad they don't sell the hatchbacks here.

The Mississippi Press: "GM plant towns struggle with losses"
Yes, along with Fox News..all right wing neocon-biased nonsense...
-
The Mississippi Press: "GM plant towns struggle with losses"
Whatever.... the conservatives are full of sh*t, and with an oilman in the White House the last 7 years (an incompetent one at that), the neocons are in bed with the corrupt oil companies...

I am gonna blow... This is one of hell'uva a RANT!
A lot of bluster and pointless ranting (with a shot of xenophobia thrown in) that ultimately is meaningless and futile.

GM Officially Cancels Zeta Buick
As it has been for quite some time...RWD for performance cars, sports cars, and premiums, FWD for the mass market.
-
GM Officially Cancels Zeta Buick
Quite a few, as GM has proven over the last 25 years (their era of FWD generics).

Happy Birthday, PCS..

WSJ: GM Shifts Its Strategy Into Reverse
Interesting... I wonder if what happened next is that security tackled Dollinger and tasered him..

Sebring interior redesign?
They probably wasted the money on the '09 Ram...which will prove to a wasted investment if the gas prices stay as they are...

GM announces big changes to deal with higher gas prices
Or Europe for that matter..they have reasonable sized trucks and vans (all diesels) for commercial use...(MB Sprinter, VW LT, Crafter, Ford Transit, etc...)
