  1. I wonder how Ford manages it with the debt load they are still carrying.
  2. well.... no, they didn't. I sometimes come back and fix threads for you, I download the pictures from ebay an upload here. The firetruck spot is just one example of that.
  3. I haven't looked at inventory lately, but as I recall, it wasn't much. Hard to sell cars you don't have.
  4. The only downside to the Volt is cost. It is a perfectly normal every day car that can get 100s of miles to the gallon in every day use. There are people out there getting 3,000 miles to a tank!
  5. off site or just E-bay? I've always had to download the ebay photos using a special program and then uploading them here.
  6. I know it's hard to stay away from politics in a thread like this, but we've tiptoed over the line twice already..... lets back it up and discuss the merits of this story.
  7. for me, the Cadillac XTS apparently....
  8. and China will eat it up
  9. thanks guys
  10. If they want a high tech luxury car shouldn't they be buying an S-class? Sure, because they have an extra $30k to blow on a car and not think anything of it..... This isn't Cadillac's S-Class competitor.
  11. It's not an intervention if companies can opt in or opt out.
  12. I'm sure there are plenty of times you don't need the full power and capability of the Duramax but still need to haul something.
  13. I did, as they cited a 4-speed Auto as a primary feature on the Mediocrity yet at the time, in 50% of their cars the automatics were.... 4-speed
  14. You aren't the target market anyway. The XTS is going to be more for people who like high tech electronics in their cars
  15. Anyone still having doubts as to what type of powertrain will be offered in the XTS? I think it coming out as a plug-in 2-mode hybrid V6 is extremely likely
  16. No, I like those Marlins.
  17. that's just mean
  18. Edit: No you're right, that CUE pic I posted must be XTS. I didn't look through our own gallery close enough. They did show CUE with a SRX in the flesh, but they must have included some CGI of the XTS also. Here is CUE in the SRX. The full Cadillac CUE album
  19. I'd say not. It was in an SRX. But I wouldn't be surprised to see the major components of that dash end up debuting in the XTS.
  20. The seller is right about the fuel economy, 25-27mpg wasn't impossible if you were being gentle on it. And they could move at a fairly decent clip too. Mine had CFI fuel injection. This one, being an '86, would have TPI instead which I believe gave it a slight bump in power.
  21. The Sterling 800 - all of the styling prowess of late 80's Honda plus all of the reliability of fine British engineering with a dash of Lucas Electronics for that added bit of flavor and topped with a timing belt driven interference V6. but when they ran... they were a rather sumptuous ride similar to what a '89 Eighty Eight might deliver but without the body roll.
  22. The Turbo-Eco has more torque available at a lower RPM across the entire powerband when compared to a Northstar.... so, you're right, they handle the power output differently. The Turbo-Eco does it in a calmer manner.
  23. for those of us not familiar with old FoMoCo's what are they based on?
