  2. Remember, the 5-series grew 2.5 inches for 2011. It's now 2 inches longer and an inch wider than the CTS. 2011 BMW 5-series - 193.10 2011 Cadillac CTS - 191.30 2011 BMW 5-series - 73.20 2011 Cadillac CTS - 72.50
  3. Post some pictures and I'll get them up on our other broadcast accounts.
  4. Since I have to replace the entire exhaust from the Y-pipe back, I'm starting my research on mufflers now. I really dislike the Flowmaster that is on there now. It's fun for about 30 seconds and then it gets annoying with all the droning going on, particularly at highway speeds. Any breathing problems the 307 has are clear the other end of the car, so I'm not particularly concerned with a high flow unit. What I need is a 2 1/4" inlet and dual 2 1/4" outlet in the quietest muffler I can find. I do plan to go back to the resonators the car originally shipped with, but two of them this time. (I like the look of the dual exhaust.
  5. I don't really like fish. I eat shellfish at all. I do like a grilled swordfish steak, and I enjoy the classic "fish and chips" when done well. that's about the extent of it.
  6. I'm going to guess that the CTS will gain size slightly but reduce the overall weight using higher strength steel.
  7. Oh how I wish we had Top Gear's budget.
  8. Dwight, can the range of cam lob timing in VVT ever be made so broad that it goes passed the line of improving engine performance and into causing misfires, exhaust lock, etc? Basically, would adding solenoids fix anything that VVT can't already do? Sure with a solenoid valve, you could open the exhaust valve at the beginning of the power stroke.... but why on earth would you want to?
  9. I'm just curious why every brand wants to move up market when the whole market is moving down.
  10. It already is? It's the same basic concept as the 2-mode.
  11. Design Competition New Cadillac Crossover Rumors are starting to swirl yet again about a new Cadillac crossover to slot in below the Escalade and above the SRX. We're looking for your ideas. You can sketch it or you can chop it. No limitations of what to use as a base. Will you make it an on road sports crossover like the X5 or will you make it a versatile off road mountain goat like a Range Rover? Either way, if you submit the winning design, you'll win this 1/14th scale Remote Control Cadillac Escalade. Voting starts on June 1st, get it in before then. Product Description: Special Feature Full Function Radio Controlled Forward, Reverse, Stop, Left & Right Adjustable Front Wheel Alignment Trigger Gun Type Controller All Independent Spring Suspension System Detailed Interior / Exterior Rims & Tires Glossy Exterior Paint Working Headlights Working Rear lights Dimensions: 13"L x 5"W x 4"H Speed: 8-15 mph Scale: 1:14 Remote Distance: 30 fts Factory Assembled Ready to Run 5 AA Batteries (Not Included) 9v Battery of the Controller (Not included)
  12. Image. GMC or any Escalade could, but you never see them on the Discovery Channel with a cameraman on the roof sitting amongst a herd of gazelles. If GMC wants to get in that market, they need that sort of product placement.
  13. Range Rovers may not go off-road as much in the U.S., but you know they are capable of it, and that's part of the reason people buy them..... because they can go through Africa.
  14. I am sometimes still guilty of saying "wadder"
  15. They're not gonna use the 2.8T. They are moving away from that engine. I would expect it to be a 3.0T which is going to be going into other Buicks also.
  16. My sister still lives in the house we were brought up in from birth in Trenton and she talks like that.
  17. Do you have a link with information for me?
  18. On the fast charge cycle, an hour is a quarter charge. Lots of people can blow an hour in these stores. Granted... most of these are just PR stunts, but it's a start.
  19. Best Buy is just one. The next largest (larger?) rhymes with Grown Cheapo. There is also at least one large restaurant chain that I know of.
  20. Anyone else here read "Hawtai" as hottie in "Jersey Shore Accent"?
  21. Major Metros at first, but there is more than one major ubiquitous retailer that will be rolling out charging spots nationwide.
  22. It's like if John Deere contracted with GM to paint a bunch of TopKick's green and sell them at their own dealerships.
  23. Don't try this at home kids...
  24. Charging stations are coming.... big time.
