  3. HTML was set to off for that forum. It's fixed now.
  4. Says the guy with the...what.. 200k mile Dodge?
  5. How many '85 Toyotas do you still see on the road? Very few. How many '85 GM do you still see on the road? They're beat to hell but you'll still see them regularly Fact is, Toyota didn't know how to make a car that wouldn't rust into the ground after one north east winter until the 1992 Camry came out. They had one good run with that body style and then the sludge issues started on the next body. The body following that had transmission issues and sudden acceleration issues. Honda never bothered to even offer a V6 in the Accord till the mid 90's. Once they did they found that their new 5-speed auto couldn't handle the torque and they had to quietly extend the warranties on the Accord, Odyssey, and TL. My own 2004 Honda CR-V has been garaged it's whole life but still has small rust spots forming around the door hinges at 70k miles. My Avalanche didn't have any rust on it when I got rid of it at 86k miles and it was too big to fit in the garage.
  6. fixed. but you'll have to repost that post
  7. It's just a setting for that forum.
  8. you guys aim for around the 23rd and I might be able to do it too
  9. Not bad! And they put the Airflow in there... I thought that was one they used to be embarrassed of
  10. Welcome back!
  11. Z-06 and myself got our media credentials confirmation for NAIAS 2010. We'll be there for press days!
  12. 280hp/259 ft/lbs It does have some torque steer and I'm trying to get some power curve graphs out of GM for these engines. Yeah, the peak is all the way up at 6300rpm, but it's got gobs of power over the entire RPM range. Quite honestly, I think this is the limit for FWD on this platform. Anything more powerful would have to be AWD.
  13. Doesn't work. I did try it. However, I did find that you can leave the fob in your pocket, just walk up to the trunk, and lift it open. It's got that proximity detection thing in it.
  14. Well all your old posts are still here, just more modern software that will allow us to expand and add more features overtime. Of course, many of the same... uhm... colorful... personalities are still here!
  15. You should buy a Cadillac CTS. They are entirely roboticly assembled. Robots aren't unionized.
  16. What transmission did you have in the Regal WK? My '85 Toronado, while no speed demon, didn't have trouble holding 60 nor would it be turning that kind of RPM to do it. I had a 4-speed auto with overdrive.
  17. Toyota has been getting "government bailouts" from Tokyo for decades in the form of government healthcare and a manipulated, artificially low Yen. Toyota had more recalled vehicles than any other manufacturer this year. Ford and Buick are doing great in reliability surveys. so... yeah.
  18. Welcome to both WriteWizard and TagLane!
  19. How many other sites out there that you visit that also use IPB v. 3.04?

  21. There's the cause of your C&G slowness.
  22. In other words. Have surgery to remove cancer of the lungs, brain, stomach, kidneys, and liver. Six months later, beat Lance Armstrong in the Tour de France. I'm driving around GM's first post-bankruptcy vehicle right now, a 2010 Buick Lacrosse. It was designed during "Old GM" times... when GM still had cancer. The level of fit and finish, the thoughfulness of many of the little things, the performance of the vehicle lead me to believe that if GM was capable of building this vehicle back then, Toyota, BMW, and Nissan need to be very concerned about their future once GM is out of das krankenhaus. Each new GM release needs to be stunning for it's segment... which it one reason I believe the Cruze was delayed. New GM is moving much faster than old GM ever did, but it still does take time to get vehicles designed and there may have to be some transitional vehicles like an AWD EPII based XTS
  23. got 14 seconds into before I had to turn it off.
