The price of Wal-Mart coming to town
They're out there. They just all work at walmart for $7.20 an hour since the fat cats at the top can't be satisfied with only a $100m bonus this year.

GM Enters New Turf With Premium Compact Buick
What is aging about the Sigma? The most recent iteration is forcing Jags and Bimmers to look at narrow vertical tail lamps. What more do you want from it?

July 2009 Sales: General Motors - 189,443
And now for a dose of common sense. Do you honestly think that if someone is turning in a car on Cash for Clunkers because they can't get at least $3500 for it that they're going to be trading it in on a new CTS or SRX? Srsly?!

Green Shoots?
Thanks. Full Disclosure: I wrote it. forgot to put that in the original post.

Ceasar Augustus Drove A...
The car was just an '09 CTS in pearl white, but the driver was a blond Kate Walsh impersonator. The license plate said "ATURNON"

Green Shoots?
There was much talk earlier this spring about so called “green shoots” in the economy by talking heads trying to coin a phrase that would stick. Unfortunately for us, they had very little evidence to back up such statements. Housing was still tanking, unemployment was still skyrocketing, and GM and Chrysler were swirling down the toilet of bankruptcy. I’ve been rather pessimistic on the economy for a while now. As recently as April I was predicting a long drawn out recovery. I also predicted that a second wave of foreclosures coming from a type of mortgage called Option ARMs would start carpet bombing the economy all over again. Well, unlike a certain ex-President of ours, I’m willing to chart a new course when provided with new information. Here is why I am cautiously optimistic for a near term recovery. I’ll go out on a limb and say that the bottom was sometime in June 2009. More here

Mr Ford Goes to Clunkerville
I can cry over it! Those E-bodys are tough to find in good running condition! That was a future collectible. Assuming a clear interior, spend $350 for the bumper fillers and give it a paint job it could probably go in the $6k - $8k range on ebay. This is my fear with this program.
-
HARDTOPS you might not remember
Well in that case, the 1970-1985 E-Body coupes were hard tops. They had frameless front windows and no b-pillar. In a move that would make 68's head explode. In the Caliente edition of the Toronado, you could add a FAKE b-pillar. It was held in with one screw at the bottom and a metal clip at the top.

Wilmington/ Penske
I think it would be very wise of Penske to not be entirely dependent on "others" to build his cars.
-
Wilmington/ Penske
A neither a Penske Saturn nor the Wilmington plant have the baggage of the British Auto industry or the UAW.

Under New Ownership Discussion thread
Possible... if and when it happens.
-
Wilmington/ Penske
Wilmington can build a LOT more than just the Kappas. It was a huge, underutilized plant. If Penske could pick it up on the cheap with one production line already functioning.......

Item Not As Described site
Yes I can. http://itemnotasdescribed.com/2009/05/06/f...-suzuki-samari/ “NO DRIVE LINES, NO STEERING LINKAGE, JERRY RIGGED LIFT, you will need to tow it! Don’t call & ask stupind questions!” Please forgive me if these are “stupind” questions, but there are just a few things I need to know: 1. What? 2. Why? 3. How do you manage to misspell “samurai,” a word that is surely emblazoned somewhere on the vehicle you have obviously spent a great deal of time ruining? In literally the largest type size you will ever see the word “samurai” printed in, ever? 4. Why? 5. What?

Reuss to replace Queen, Koerner as head of GM engineering
Yes. They ran it even less profitably than GMNA.

$120 for an oil change? I. Don.t. Think. So.

2011 Buick Regal Spied in US
I don't think I'd be the only one here who would refuse to consider any of the Epsilon cars "large". Hell I barely consider the Zetas "large".

This will make you sick...Oldsmoboi...do not watch
You're right. It would be sacrilege to put those wonderful Aurora parts on an Intrepid, but I wouldn't put it past you.

meant to quote SMK, sorry.

This will make you sick...Oldsmoboi...do not watch
Well, an Aurora with 240k + miles isn't going to be worth much. It'll get sent to the U-Pick-It yard for Dodgefan to snatch parts so he can turn his Intrepid into the Aurora he's always wanted. Northstars are good engines, but they aren't really longevity engines because they get so expensive to fix.

I have mixed emotions about this program. It's going to take a lot of crap off the road but some good cars are going to be swept up in it too. My issue with the deal is this. Which produces more pollution, a 1985 Civic or a 2000 LeSabre? Which of those is eligible under this program?

2011 Buick Regal Spied in US
Your previous complaint was that the Lacrosse was too large. Now you're complaining that the Regal is too small?

We're doomed then.
