  1. look behind any camry from about 1992 on and you'll see that same low hanging exhaust pipe that looks like it's going to clip any speed bump it goes over.

  4. after thinking about this a bit more and looking at the option packages.... Chevy really needs to consider adding the Turbo Ecotec engine as an option from the middle of the range on up. I should be able to get a loaded Malibu LTZ turbo. It'd probably help CAFE too....
  5. not that I'm against a positive review, but.... 1. How did he get a car that GM hasn't produced yet? 2. The Passat was the first car with 4 cylinder - 6 speed combo. just putting that out there since we'd be the first to rip an inaccurate Toyota review to shreds.

  12. Considering the CTS comes in very very close to the 3-series in terms of handling even with it's bigger dimensions and heft, you'd think they get the idea. The old CTS-V bested the M5's laptime on the Nürgburgring. But the Cadillac is less expensive... so it doesn't count.
  13. not quite the same thing. FF2 was leaky in memory, if you had multiple tabs open it would sometimes start chewing up memory till it crashed.
  14. I"m just not sure how they can recover with their lineup. There is just nothing compelling left. The LX platform is arguably their best but that's now dated. Even the Taurus/Sable offers a more compelling package now with a nicer interior, AWD option, and class leading fuel economy.... you know it's bad when you're ceding the high ground to the Taurus. The Sebring, Avenger, Dakota, and Aspen are a bigger flop than a Will Ferrell direct to DVD movie. With gas parked in the $3.00 range, most likely for good, Jeeps other than the Wrangler are going to be in trouble. The Ram will be released right in time to go up against a new F-150 and the still fresh GMT-900s and unless Dodge has some magic fairy dust, I highly doubt the interior will be up to the competition's standards. So what's left.... Caliber, PT Cruiser, Wrangler, and the Mini-vans... If you were Cerberus, would you really want to hang your hat on those?

AutoBlog Link Chrysler has released sketches today of three eco-minded concepts it will be unveiling at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show in January, and the first we'll tell you about is the Chrysler ecoVoyager Concept. The ecoVoyager Concept appears to be a series hybrid, much like the Chevy Volt or Ford Airstream Concept, that uses a lithium-ion battery pack for jaunts of 40 miles or less and a hydrogen fuel-cell range extender to reach distances up to 300 miles away. Power is expected to be in the range of 200 kW total, which Chrysler claims is good for reach 60 mph in around eight seconds. The exterior features an extreme cab forward design creating an arch profile with flowing character lines coming from the front and back that intersect on the sides. The interior design is described as being like a luxury jet, though no images of the concept's innards have been released yet. We'll have to wait until we meet the ecoVoyager Concept in person come January to tell you more, but for now gaze upon Chrysler's first of three concepts that's slated for introduction on the biggest stage of the year.

  19. your add-ins won't work yet though. It's been stable for me and doesn't seem to have the memory management problems FF2 has. Get your fix here.
  20. You're the exact reason Buick needs to be fixed quick. There is no reason that Cadillac can't be the MB and BMW competition and Buick can be the soft Lexus and Lincoln competition. The DTS, Town Car, Lucerne, ES, and to a degree Avalon and LS460, prove there is a market for these kind of cars. I've driven a V6 Lucerne a few times and if I were in the market for a new daily driver I would serious consider it over a new CTS. Don't get me wrong, I like my CTS, but the Lucerne is a lot less "hyper".... and given where and when and how I drive, the Lucerne would be a much more comfortable whip. GM needs to show Lexus you can't out Buick, Buick.
  21. endorsements bought and paid for? The CTS is not a leader in it's segment only if you define it's segment as 6-cylinder Civic sized cars.
