The worst American cars of 2006
this entire thread needs to be copied and sent to the editors of forbes and the author's of the articles. an entry on Autoblog with the headline "C&G rips Forbes a new one" would help too.

The worst American cars of 2006
yeah, I saw this article and it's complete hogwash! They literally cherry picked the data they wanted. They didn't even use the same source for each catagory. Each and every manufacture sent letters/emails of protest only to be dismissed by the authors. this article devalues the paper it was printed on by $1 a sheet.

Asking again...how long will the 3800 V6
I like the idea on the upper end models something like a LaCross Super. The HF series of V6 engines from GM are very smooth. The 3.6 in my CTS is very satisfying all over it's powerband. It runs just fine on the recommended 87 octane. In direct injection form, the power/efficiancy should only increase. That said, I really would like a AFM 5.3 putting out around 330hp in the CTS. I think that <with the new interior/exterior> would allow the CTS to take on the 5-series at all levels. Imagine, the CTS being available with a 2.8 <528>, 3.6 <530>, 5.3 <545>, and 6.0 <M5>. Naturally it will automatically suck because the upper engines have pushrods.

GM fleet sales drop at least 60,000 units in '06
how much you wanna bet that won't happen..... the rental agencies will just keep the price the same and take the extra profit.

GM fleet sales drop at least 60,000 units in '06
That will drive up resale value as well which will in turn make it a little easier to sell the new ones closer to sticker.

the fact that it lunged towards you with that blacked out grill much in the same way the Charger, Mustang, Camaro, Challenger and prev-gen 5-series do.

C&G Exclusive - 2008 Enclave Spy Shots!
Considering the average weight of a current minivan and the fact that these won't be considered a minivan.... while also not being considered a full size SUV. These will be a logical step for families who don't want mini-van OR full size SUV stigma.

The other big difference between the '96 and the '06? '96 = Badass looking '06 = looks like what that middle aged mother of 2 secretary might drive if she doesn't have a minivan.

Then ask them why they're not selling LSes or Thunderbirds anymore. Ask GM why they're canceling/cutting most of the GMT360s in favor of the Lambdas

Should GM and Ford Merge?
I just got back from a trip to 2018 via my time machine and found this wikipedia article. **this article, while obviously not true, is a cut and paste from another wikipedia article documenting the fall of another distinctly American major U.S. industry. Only the names and dates have been changed.

Should GM and Ford Merge?
what good would that do, that'd be like the Titanic and the Lusitania tieing up to each other to prevent each other from sinking. Just because Ford and GM merged doesn't mean the holes wouldng still be there letting water rush in.

What is this?
sterling or a early attempt at a hybrid. it's the cooling fans that get me, old electrical equipment was notorious for the amount of waste heat they generate. but the fans could also be used for the "cool" side of a sterling.
