Spied: Toyota Hatchback
you guys have it all wrong.... this is the next generation Prius. What the camo is covering is the exclusive and pioneering use of a tortoise shell wood exterior.

Ipod Connection to be on all GM models!
Just click here. this is essentially the same thing.... it's just that GM is going to make the effort to make more models compatible with these... and offer them for sale and installation at the dealership. It's a *great* add on sale for the dealer.

that'll teach you to stick it in her raw without watching her take her pills everyday I had this same issue years ago. The girlfriend "forgot" her pill one day and didn't think anything of it... and just picked up the next day with them.

I think in the grand scheme of things those distinctions are minimal.

yes, they're only updating the Aveo sedan.

I disagree on this point that SS can't be for FWD. When you have Mazda MazdaSpeed6's, Focus SVTs, Cobalt SS, Grand Prix GXP, Golf GTi all running around out there, a Malibu SS makes sense... even if it's FWD... as long as it's done right. It looks like it's got the looks. It definately has the potential to be bad ass looking. Give it the moves to back it up and Chevy will have a winner. I'll agree that not all Chevys should have an SS model, but I don't see any reason there can't be a Cobalt, Malibu, Impala, Camaro, Trailblazer <this already has proven it's worth>, and maybe Avalanche and Silverado.

2008 Malibu spied!
oh yeah, I've posted a bunch of times in this thread, but not about the car. I *really* like it. I'm already imagining a black SS model with a turbo 3.6.

I wish there was a way for us <the enthusiasts> to interact <not just drop suggestions in the box> with the marketing department of GM. Place ads on a secure website with a limited member base <the membership of C&G> and have us review the ads. Heck, we'd all do it for free. They won't have to pay for focus groups anymore AND the GM enthusiasts would get a measure of mental "ownership" in an ad campaign. I'm a cost saver. :AH-HA_wink:

I'm going to disagree with you. I think the Aura will be that car.

heh. that too, but I was making a joke about how the Camry's 6-speed is sometimes a 4-speed.

Ipod Connection to be on all GM models!
Not really... even in that pic you can still see the input jack on the front of the head unit. If microsoft wants to be in cars that badly, they'll offer an adapter kit too. It's really just an adapter that tranlates the CD changer control into an iPod control.

GM's NA small engines
I think the 2.8 CTS with DI should be the "greenline" model. Bump up the HP to around 220hp and leave the rest of the improvements to better fuel efficiency. The Aveo still uses a Daewoo motor... it doesn't benefit from any of GM's engine technology. I've never found the ecotechs to be *that* bad. The Alero I borrow from time to time is smooth, quiet, and efficient. I want to point out that the GM Ecotechs typically do much better than their EPA rating while the Asians to worse than their EPA rating. 36 mpg highway in a 2005 Alero is pretty easy to do. A 6-speed and DI in a similar size/weight/aerodynamic car should easily see over 40. <wishful thinking>Wouldn't it be nice if, through the combination of VVT and DI, you could press a "sport mode" button on the dash and get an instant boost in HP. This would be interesting in the 2.8 CTS with VVT and DI. Normal mode gets you 215hp and 30mph highway, sport mode gets you 255hp and 23mpg highway.</wishful thinking>

Hauling or Crawling?: 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTS
I haul bricks, sand, stone, large quantities of drywall in my Av. I don't even know what I'd do if I was hauling the same stuff with a Ridgeline and had a flat. Call AAA I guess?
