  1. Everything is going to shit... just taking longer to get there. Plus he's doing stuff that is unnecessarily evil. At least we haven't gotten to land mining our own citizens yet though.... I mean, clinton totally would have done that. ?
  2. Furthermore, the people who are coming here currently are requesting asylum. There are rules and regulations regarding how we have to handle them. To our own detriment. Land mines and concentration camps are not unreasonable? It's not what most countries do at all.... well, maybe DPRK. But that's just the one.
  3. 1. The Military is not allow to be used for policing matters. It's called Posse Comitatus Act and has been around since 1878 2. None, but that wasn't what you we suggesting. You were saying that foreign nationals can't have a bank account or hold property here in the US or rent an apartment here in the US. That is, for many obvious reasons, not tenable. Also, anyone on US soil, regardless of citizenship status, is entitled to the protections of the constitution... which means due process. It is not up to a bank to decide the immigration status of a person. That's a job for a court. Furthermore, a person's "legality" can change, so how is a bank to know when a status changes one way or another? 3. Birthright citizenship is in the constitution/bill of rights. It's already been decided. Nothing for SCOTUS to do. You're the one who proposed concentration camps. We've already got those, and people are already dying in them.
  4. 1. Is illegal and unconstitutional, also breaks international law. 2. Papiere bitte. Also likely at least partially unconstitutional. 3. Unconstitutional. All of the above ignores what is actually happening at the southern border, violates Geneva conventions, the US constitution, several international laws, and many U.S. laws.. It's also highly likely to backfire.
  5. my point has been missed in there somewhere.... increasing joblessness is going to cause more Mexicans to try and jump the border. It's not Mexicans that are causing the bulk of the immigration issue right now. its from countries further south than that. This tariff is like shooting yourself in the foot because your neighbor won't stop the guy two houses over from beating his wife.
  6. The issue of FCA's sales reporting being suspect has been in the news for a while. I don't blame him for not wanting to take the fall for it if he truly didn't institute the practice.
  7. Killing jobs in Mexico will help reduce pressure for them to move north..... how?
  8. The jobs will end up in India, Vietnam, or some other technologically developed country with cheap labor.... Not the US.
  9. It's not just the cars that have final assembly in Mexico that will be affected... ALL cars will be affected.
  10. At FCA, amid the backdrop of a proposed merger and its subsequent collapse, a lawsuit has been filed by Reid Bigland, head of the RAM brand and CEO of FCA Canada alleging that FCA has retaliated against Bigland for cooperating in a Federal prob of FCA's sales reporting process. Bigland joined Chrysler in 2006 and in turn took over the reigns of Alfa Romeo, Maserati, and Dodge, eventually serving as CEO of FCA Canada. The lawsuit filed Wednesday accuses FCA of retaliation for not taking the fall for the sales reporting prob. Bigland claims his compensation has fallen by more than 90% and that the sales reporting process under scrutiny was one that he inherited. The probe of FCA's sales reporting started after two dealerships in Illinois filed a lawsuit alleging they were offered cash in return for reporting falsely inflated sales numbers. From that lawsuit, FCA was forced to recount and re-report its previous sales reports. The Security and Exchange Commission continued its investigation and Bigland cooperated. Bigland's position is that the sales reporting methods existed well before he assumed his roles, and he did nothing to change the reporting process already in place. Bigland claims that the SEC tried to settle with some admission of wrong-doing by the company and Bigland. Bigland declined to admit wrong doing and later sent a letter detailing the sales reporting practices to the SEC. Bigland sold his shares in the company in 2018 and he claims that FCA is withholding bonuses to pay for SEC fines if and when they come. For FCA's part they say via Detroit News: We'll have more information as it comes out. View full article

  12. That may be the case since is it based on a pre-supercruise platform. If so, then the XT5 may not get it either. However, I do remember Cadillac saying that the entire lineup would have SC available sometime in the very near future. I want to say MY 2021 or something (which would be the correct timing for the new Escalade)
  13. Margins are slim for everyone in the industry. $3.6b in profit is doing okay.
  14. It'll hit everyone though, not just FCA. And they'll all have to raise prices. NPR was doing a story today about how all of the wiring harnesses for cars are built in Mexico... it doesn't matter what brand.
  15. Nissan is in no position to be acquiring anyone. They're in a worse position than FCA. FCA actually makes some profit.
  16. The Trump foundation was forced to disband because it was found out to be using funds to buy portraits of trump for his golf courses, and is still under investigation by the Southern District of New York.
  17. Moved the discussion to here since @William Maley beat me to the story.
  18. All new Cadillacs will have it as an option. The XT4 will get is and I would expect the XT5 to get it at its next refresh.
  19. You fell for the FUD. "We looked at the consolidated financial statements (see page 4) and calculated that in 2013, 88.3 percent of spending was designated as going toward program services — $196.6 million out of $222.6 million in reported expenses." https://www.factcheck.org/2015/06/where-does-clinton-foundation-money-go/ 88.3% going towards charitable programs is higher than many other "more legitimate" charities.
  20. It's absolutely laughable that you think Trump is the more believable of the two. Let me guess, you believe that Clinton was running a child sex ring out of the basement of a pizza parlor too..... He doesn't own 100% of the entity.
  21. BTW, I LOVE supercruise. I wish I had the budget for a Cadillac with Supercruise. It is the killer app for me in a car and would make me overlook some of the styling issues I've seen lately.
  22. Cadillac SuperCruise will be available on over 200,000 miles of North American roadways later this year. Cadillac is adding an additional 70,000 miles to the existing 130,000 miles already in the system by the 4th quarter 2019. Cadillac owners will receive an over-the-air update once the system upgrade is completed. On top of the increase in SuperCruise map availability, Cadillac will also make system adjustments to improve performance and enhancements to the Driver Attention system. Last year Cadillac updated the system so that the car would automatically adjust lane centering if a large vehicle was passing close by and also added additional messages in the driver cluster to give more detail as to why SuperCruise may not be available at the moment. Cadillac says that CT6 owners have driven more than 2.5 million miles with SuperCruise active since it was introduced on 2018 model year vehicles. View full article

  24. There is a difference between saying you're a billionaire because you have a couple billion in Amazon stock... stocks can be traded for cash. What trump has done is bought a lot of properties and then grossly inflated the value of them... even though he probably couldn't get that amount for them today. At the same time, he depreciates the properties so they look like they're worthless for tax reasons.
