  1. China is a very different market than what we have. They are moving to BEVs much faster. Will Daimler-BMW get to 500k units is anyone's guess, but I do think that China is where they will sell the majority of them.
  2. I only had an Escalade for a week as a rental and I bragged about it.
  3. FCA really has no debt to mention. One thing Sergio did before he died was pay that off.
  4. I think Hyundai's thought process is that there will still always be a sedan market, and they want to be the default choice as the other manufacturer retreat. Kinda where the Pacifica and Odyssey are for the minivan market today.
  5. Actually, Cadillac prices their V6 where the other guys price their Turbo-4. And they priced their Turbo-4 where the other guys priced their low-output turbo-4.
  6. I have a carb, that's why I was wondering. But my carb has electronically controlled metering. It is said that this carb is sensitive to dirty air filters.
  7. Seems like a smaller car though
  8. @dwightlooi I think Ford is doing that too on at least one engine line.
  9. What about on old cars without mass airflow sensors and such?
  10. The issue is that SMK keeps saying that Cadillac doesn't have a competitive turbo 6... the truth is they have 3 versions of turbo 6 that are more than competitive. (3.0tt = 400hp, 3.6tt = 420hp, 3.6tt = 460hp)
  11. I have no problem with faux leather seats. I just have a problem with getting them in a $40k+ car. In a Jetta... no problem.
  12. ATS Turbo 4 = 272 hp / 3-series Turbo 4 = 255 hp ATS Turbo 6 = 460 hp / 3-series Turbo 6 = 382 hp / M3 Turbo 6 = 425 HP What you're implying is that the ATS doesn't have a competitive engine simply because it also offers a 335hp naturally aspirated 6. It's kinda moot though since the ATS sedan is now out of production and the CT4 will be replacing it, likely with a 400hp 3.0 V6. I'm sure SMK will find some other reason that it "isn't competitive" like the ashtray liner being the wrong material or something.
  13. Which model are you referring to? The A 35? Cadillac most certainly does have a competing product.
  14. Because they lose money and their current business model isn't sustainable. From the article: It's trading that high because of the hype and that investors are wary of the other tech stocks out there.
  15. Then why ever change them at all?

  18. They offer more options and more power.
  19. As usual, MB gets the credit for "inventing" something that someone else invented. In this case, crossover "coupe" styling.
  20. Plastic seats Plastic seats Plastic seats The 3 series 6 cylinder is also turbocharged. Cadillac has 3 turbo V6es... All of which out power that BMW motor
  21. It's not that big... it is about Explorer sized.
  22. It looks like it would be easy for them to do since it is basically a butched up Telluride. The Telluride is getting some really excellent reviews and I personally think it is a very handsome SUV... should do really well.
  23. Kia unveiled two SUV concepts at the Seoul Motor Show this week. Both concepts preview design directions for the brand. First up is the Kia Masterpiece (Shown Above and right). Sporting a profile similar to the Kia Telluride, the Masterpiece is a take on a more rugged SUV. The front end shows off a new variation of Kia's Tiger Nose grille that extends outwards across the entire of the concept with 12 vertical bars in a Hummer-like fashion. The body has been raised and it has a strong all-wheel drive system to match its go-anywhere looks. Secondly is the Signature Concept (Shown Below). This is an update to the Kia SP Concept that was seen late last year and is slated to come to the US at some point. Kia says that this concept is nearly production ready and the production version will be revealed later in 2019. Up front, the Tiger Nose grille connect to thin LED lamps. Its strong shoulder line, with a glasshouse which tapers towards the rear of the car, lends the compact SUV an air of understated sportiness. View full article
