Infiniti will debut a new concept car at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. Today the company released a teaser image of the coming concept sedan. Unlike most teaser images that show a silhouette or just a glowing headlight, Infiniti opted for a white car on a white background. This allows us to see a little bit more detail. The current Infiniti signature grille appears to be gone, replaced with a deep sulking one with a finely finned intake somewhat reminiscent of the front turbine on a jet engine. Inside rests a prominent and very three dimensional Infiniti logo. Behind that are deep cut-lines in the hood that flow back into the fender. Infiniti says that this concept will evolve the traditional sedan formula around new compact engine architecture, allowing for a longer cabin, balance proportions, and muscular stance. The Infiniti Concept will be unveiled in the Cobo Center in Detroit on January 15th 2018 at 12:35 pm est. Click here to follow all 2018 Detroit Auto Show News Click here to follow all Infiniti News

GM News: GM Could Make a Full-Scale Return to Europe
Drew Dowdell replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
Europeans tended to like the European focused GM vehicles (likewise at Ford). Attempts to sell American focused vehicles in the EU have largely failed. Europeans bought a load of the old Mondeo which was sold here as the Contour. But when it was unified and upsized to American standards, sales fell. In Cologne, which is a Ford town, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Fiesta or Focus. Both of those models sell poorly here with the Fiesta on death's door. American cars are largely viewed as too big and too inefficient by Europeans.... the theory behind trying to make a unified product that fits the needs of US / China / EU sounds good on paper, but doesn't take into account cultural differences. -
I thought the old 3 series was too small also.

Not to sound like @dfelt or anything, but these cars are just too small for that kind of money... And this is coming from a guy who has an Encore.

Chevrolet News:2019 Chevrolet Cruze May Lose the Manual
Drew Dowdell replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
I'm guessing it's gone. The take rate on it has got to be super low and it's not like the Cruze is selling like gangbusters. The Civic stole any thunder it might have had. The diesel hatch with a manual was a pleasant enough of a drive, but I wouldn't have missed it in that car if it were only an auto. -
Well that's the old Escalade, but yea, when that came out, bling was in, as were fender vents. Keep in mind that Escalade is rather restrained compared to the prior one. You weren't here at the time but when this Navigator came out, we and a few other sites made such a stink about the nose that it ended up being released with the ability to delete the chrome upper lip.
-
Chrome mirror covers aren't stock... and in all likelihood neither are chrome door handles if it was a current model. The Escalade comes with illuminated door handles with satin metal surround. The GLS merely has glued in chrome inserts though... This is a base 2017 GLS450

I wouldn't own an old german car unless an old german company is picking up the repair tab. Those things get notoriously expensive to repair. You could find a CPO SS fairly easily if you wanted.

Sure I do. I have a pretty light hand when it comes to it as long as it is car related. Otherwise, SMK would have been gone a long time ago since his primary MO is to troll Cadillac threads. It's when it gets personal that I have to step in. The rules here are pretty simple... talk about cars not people.
-
@balthazar didn't qualify his statement with a timeframe... only that Mercedes had benchmarked Cadillac in the past for interiors and BMW for handling.

They won't get there with that truck. It's a total kit car and doesn't even have wipers. If Tesla keeps its promise on max range, their truck will have this one beat. 300 miles won't be enough range for long haul trucks.

'50s, '60s, and '70s they did... then they stuck with those right up until the mid-late 80 when Cadillac started to falter (or 2017 if you count the G-Class)

It's not an adjustable setting as near as I can find.
